A must go place in Glasgow if you are Vietnamese, especially a Hanoian when the decoration here makes you feel like home. The food was excellent, however you shouldn’t put sprout in phở bò for Northern people. The cafe sữa đá was exceptional, shout out to anyone could make that coffee.
Enjoyed this little place which is tucked away down a side alley in the West End of Glasgow. The walls are amusingly decorated with a multiplicity of cycling paraphernalia.
The ox cheek was fantastic as was the sticky chicken. The carrot salad was less successful. Overall the flavours were slightly muted.
The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. Would recommend.
Nice place in a nice área !! Wonderfull service ... Very very kind! 👍👍👍 Don't miss it !!! #glasgow 👍❤🌍🚗🚗 #driveinscotland .... ......
Pho is amazing! Totally worth to go there only for the flavourings experience! Even though is 15£ it's totally worth every single penny! The only thing I didn't like is that all our clothes and hair smelled to food. So I wouldn't advice if you're going out to a club or pub after it!
Love this place..
Especially the coffee..
Whenever in need of good comfort food, Hanoi delivered.. The fried springroll is delicious, the pho also a winner..Clear and tasty broth with tender meat..and really loved the vermicelli & carrot salad..
The staff are super friendly and helpful.
I had lovely, authentic Vietnamese meal at Hanoi Bike Shop. The rice paper rolls were fresh and so delicious, and served with a side of herbs and a variety of dipping sauces. The tofu Banh Mi sandwich was also tasty, but the bread they used was more of a dense, French roll, rather than a baguette - which was disappointing.
I also loved the decor - the lanterns and small stools and plastic chairs made me feel like I was in Vietnam again.
My concern was that Hanoi Bike Shop is cool, we're talking super cool, we are talking Ranulph-Fiennes-chop-off-your-fingers-because-you've-got-frostbite cool. My problem is I am not cool. The rest of the Flintstones are: Betty has a VW camper van; Wilma has Dior sunglasses and Barney has a jumper from Abercrombie and Fitch.
Realy enjoyed the food here - fresh and tasty. I follow a gluten- free diet and there are plenty of options to choose from. We skipped desert and just had a coffee at the end of our meal which was fantastic...it's made with condensed milk and is sweet as a result! I would recommend to anyone to give this place a try!
Was here last night with my girlfriend lovely friendly place everything on the menu sounded lovely when food got delivered the tastes are mind blowing best food tasted in ages .. Wee sat next to cash machine and waitress was very helpful to us can't wait to go back.. Can't believe some people said ok lacked taste etc some people should just stick to McDonald's
Was ok. Had lunch at this place recently. Was ok. Had their tofu and also the pho. Have to say the pho was pretty bland and forgettable, despite them providing a plate of asian spices and a jar of chilli oil to tang it up. Desserts were absolutely lovely though and I think they are stronger in their desserts than their main courses. If you don't like the smell of fish there is a slight pong of it from the fish sauce on the tables but you'll get used to it. Will pop back some time but no rush.

I worried about going to the Hanoi Bike Shop. My concern was that Hanoi Bike Shop is cool, we're talking super cool, we are talking Ranulph-Fiennes-chop-off-your-fingers-because-you've-got-frostbite cool. My problem is I am not cool.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Vietnamese restaurant, and I must say that the experience was exceptional. The beef pho soup was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the tender slices of beef were cooked to perfection. It truly captured the authentic taste of Vietnam. The sweet and sour crispy pork. The pork was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfectly balanced with a tangy and sweet sauce. The flavors danced on my palate, leaving me craving for more. It was a culinary masterpiece that showcased the chef's skill. The traditional Vietnamese coffee was a delightful blend of bold, robust coffee and sweet condensed milk. The smoothness and richness of the coffee paired wonderfully with the sweet notes of the milk. It was a delightful way to end the meal.
I would also like to extend my appreciation to the waitress, Breagha, for her attentive and caring service. She went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional. Her knowledge of the menu and her warm demeanor added to the overall enjoyment.
Overall, highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying Vietnamese dining experience.
Pretty good Vietnamese food, the tofu (in the Pho) has a strangely fragranced tea-like taste. Personally wasn't a huge fan of that. But the drinks were delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful!
came here with my girls and omg first of all, the green beans dish was to die for we ordered an extra portion just to bring back with us would definitely recommend that. i ordered the red dragon as a main and wow was just amazing especially the rice cakes, i wish the portion size was a big bigger because i honestly could have 20 of those rice cakes they were so delicious!!! staff are also super friendly and lovely, especially the girl with short hair and glasses (sorry didn’t ask for her name) she was super lovely!! overall was a great experience :)
Delicious chicken pho. We got level 2 and it was spicy enough. We added extra noodles for £1. The chicken was delicious and not game-y.
The area is so-so. They only had pho available from the menu to order at 3pm but nothing else. Inside look dark and not very welcoming because of a strange smell.
Delicious pho!
Having been here a few times (at least 4) now I can say the food and service are fantastic. I’ve mostly had the banquet option to get a variety of the dishes and have yet to get something I didn’t like. The waiting staff are always friendly, welcoming and make time to chat. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
We literally stumbled upon this place and went for it. So glad we did. I forgot to take a picture of the food and just ate it all! I had the pho with the homemade tofu and purple egg, my friend the caramelized chicken. It was absolutely gorgeous 🥰 and the feel of the place is amazing.
The food is really great, and we had a good time at Hanoi bike shop. This place is a hidden Vietnamese corner in the city, and the furniture in the inside is very accurate. We had two traditional Pho (pronounced fuh, as in "what the pho..?!' XD), and imported beers. I'd recommend this place. Cheers
We went on a lunch with friends at the Hanoi Bike Shop today. As many other reviews mentioned, there is a strong fish sauce smell in the store which can put you off however you kind of get used to it. We ordered some prawn crackers at the start which was quite good but had some unfried bits. I had beef pho and oh my was it delightful. I have had a slight cold lately so it was just what i needed. I ordered level 3 spice and it was just enough to go with the delicious taste of the broth.
Good environment, friendly staffs
We came during lunch, it is quite busy, there’s plenty seatings indoor and outdoor. I recommend the baby pho and banh mi combo, the portion is more than enough for one person. I didn’t love my pho, i ordered the spicy one and its a bit oily. But banh mi is definitely worth a try! It has an egg and meatballs and salad between a bagel looking bread, it is tasty.
Really nice vibe as well.
Just awesome. Go for the "baby" pho and banh Mi combo. Although it is quite a large baby. This place is beautiful too.
Great food, nice feeling surroundings, lovely friendly staff. The red wine was great too. We had the soyabean daikon cakes to start then Pho and they were all delish!
Made our way here thanks to the many excellent reviews.
And we didn't regret it. After looking over the very vegetarian friendly menu (I reckon about half the dishes at least were naturally veggie and vegan) we decided on the mysterious 'surprise us' option.
And for £22.95 per person, the dishes kept coming. It is rare for me not to manage to poke everything down, but the generosity was such that I had to admit defeat.
Every dish was unique and different, and exceptionally tasty. My daughter and I argued about which were our favourites, proving that each dish was excellent.
So I add another 5 star review to the hundreds already posted. Let's hope it stays this good for many years to come (if climate change doesn't get us before then)
Amazing food! I absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back. Staff were helpful, nice and I would highly recommend. Thank you!
Beef Pho and the shaking tofu are the main courses we had (pictured)
One of the most courageous and innovative dining experiences we’ve had in a very long time. Have eaten Vietnamese inspired dishes all over the world, but never like this. 10 stars. Delicious combinations of flavours. Takes deep care and attention to craft meals like this. These photos of our food don't do justice to the flavour. Great service + a bit of that funky old school Asian street vibe in the heart of Glasgow. Go!
A fantastic place to grab dinner before going across to the Grosvenor cinema for a date night. The food is always delicious
