I had the boozy brunch which was great value for money, you both share the starter which were dumplings, prawn crackers, chicken balls then you have a choice of five main dishes. We had chicken Katsu curry with rice which was very tasty and recommend to any diners out there.

You get 4 drinks per person which you choose from 4 different cocktails, bottled beer and Prosecco. The price is £25 PP

This is a first for me, I am writing a review of a place that I have never been. I have no idea where Soba is and not a clue what it looks like inside! What I can tell you is that if you walk down Buchanan Street there is a varied selection of bars and restaurants that have taken up residence in the centre of the pavement. Each has cordoned off a rectangular plot of concrete and occupied prime space in Glasgow City Centre in an effort to attract customers to eat outdoors. Soba's little enclave caught our attention and so the wife and I sat at a table in the centre of Buchanan Street in the sunshine for some lunch. It was an early lunch and we were only the second customers inside the barriers and the staff were still setting up as we sat down.

A chic darkly lit bar/restaurant situated on Mitchell Lane, Soba is a great place to have a quick business lunch or enjoy a drink or two with your mates. A varied menu of east meets west, with something for everyone. Really good drinks list and quite a few foreign beers on tap. Try the miso soup and a couple trays of maki and you can't go wrong. Well worth a visit. Mick

Soba's little enclave caught our attention and so the wife and I sat at a table in the centre of Buchanan Street in the sunshine for some lunch. It was an early lunch and we were only the second customers inside the barriers and the staff were still setting up as we sat down. We sat at a table that gave us the best possible opportunity for people-watching, a hobby that I particularly enjoy and the friendly staff brought over some menus. Lets get some negatives out the way early. Firstly the table rocked side to side l

If they sorted out the loos – this place would be tip top. If you can’t decide on the menu – I thoroughly recommend the Nasi Goreng – DELICIOUS!

We know what you’re thinking – surely a restaurant & cocktail bar known for it’s South-East Asian cuisine would be one of the last places you’d expect to find a good burger in Glasgow? Well, we would have probably agreed with you before; however, when we happened to notice the Bangkok Burger, advertised as served in a roti wrap, in the window of ‘Soba’ as we tried to find somewhere to eat on a recent busy bank holiday Monday, our curiosity got the better of us… The Menu Soba, located on Mitchell Lane, is one of two in Glasgow, with the other being found on Byres road in the west end.  Both venues are busting with bright, electric neon colours and try to bring the taste and style of South-East Asian street food to Glasgow. If we are out in Glasgow and in the mood for some great sushi or a big plate of Nasi Goreng, Soba would always be one of our first choices. We were interested to find out if their burger, which is the only one on the menu, could be as good as the food we’ve had there

Definitely worth a visit if your in glasgow. Just off the main shopping street and very close to some great bars. Food is delicious and portion size is decent you can't go wrong with anything on the menu but I recommend the Teriyaki (beef or chicken) Price is good for the food and service but they have a lunch menu that is so cheap I'd definitely recommend taking advantage of it. Drinks here are another big plus so if your going in just for a drink you'll still leave happy (try the nuclear daiquiri) Atmosphere is very chilled so if just dropping in for lunch after shopping for a quick bite or on a date night it's perfect. We've visited this restaurant loads of times and it never disappoints.

My friends and I had a lovely meal here our starters and main courses were delicious. Lovely staff too! Only downside is if the main door is left open the draft is horrendous

We visited Mitchell lane for a girls night mid week, the place was buzzing for a Tuesday night and had a great atmosphere. The cocktails were fabulous and well presented, the food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have done enough for us - well done and thank you for a great night, we will be back to visit soon.

Although it's not my number 1 place to get Asian inspired food in Glasgow, the fare here is decent enough. They've got some good flavour combinations, and the loaded fries are a particular draw although I feel like the fries themselves could be better. Having said that, my last visit was the best yet and the service was good too. Extra points for a really decent branding job on the restaurants!

Had a great experience, the food I ordered was very tasty and the service was quick. The ribs were a little too dry but using the sauce from my other small dish fixed that quick! Ordered a yellow dragon cocktail (which I will add a pic of below) it was delicious and had good presentation. Overall a nice experience and I will be going back!

Initially sat upstairs. Stools and bench seating not very comfortable. It was also very dark in there and everyone had to use the torches on their phones just to be able to see the menu. Ordered starters which took a long time to come, but were good when they finally arrived. Waitress offered to move us downstairs when a table became free and that was much more comfortable. Mains served downstairs were also good and came quicker than the starters did. Overall I liked it and the food was good. I'd go back.

Been here a couple of times now and the place is always busy - so worth booking in advance! Service can be a bit slow at times, but the staff are always friendly and make the experience excellent. Food is great too and they offer a lot of mid-week deals which are great value for money. Will return for sure.

The food was amazing! We had teryaki noodles. The drinks were good but i had to get one remade as they were a little heavy on the syrup. Staff were more than happy to fix it though. We went for the boozy brunch which was a great deal!

Decent food, nice design and usually a good atmosphere. The Mitchell Lane Soba is better than the Merchant Square one, FYI! I’ve been here a few times and the main allure is the extensive cocktail menu available - a wide variety of ingredients and recipes that you won’t find anywhere else. Often, I’ve asked for a cocktail no longer available on the menu (Osaka Sour) and the bar staff have been able to make me one. Only issue is that sometimes they run out of the foams which go on top of the cocktails but they’ll always let you know if this is the case.

Absolutely superb service delivered by our server, Paul! Visited on Tuesday earlier this week after work with my friend and quickly noticed the stand out handling of a busy restaurant, at peak hours, flawlessly on his own. Taking orders, making drinks, delivering food and attentively ensuring each table was happy was nothing short of a masterclass. Lost a star as my rice was undercooked, although the visit was nice and we felt welcome and cared for from start to finish.

Amazing food and even better cocktails! My girlfriend and I came here for cocktails one night and they were one of the best in Glasgow. I'm not usually a big fan of cocktails but the bartender really put in time and effort on the drinks. Bar Soba also serves delicious Thai food if you like that type of food. Highly recommdened.
