A great place to visit for authentic South Indian Cuisine.
Real Indian taste with superb Quality at reasonable price. Very specious & humble staff.
Special thanks to Christina for being so attentive and doing her job diligently.
Loved the place. The food was authentic south Indian and I can vouch for it. The staff was courteous and friendly. A must visit to revive your tastebuds
Was in Glasgow for Easter break with my friend decided to go to Rishi for an authentic South Indian food .. staff were very attentive and friendly as they advised me to wait for a while to get a table to be served .. although I hadn’t booked the table for the night, they managed to arrange me the table although they seems to be very busy...the service was fantastic ...while I asked one of the staff to top up the spice a wee bit for my order.. and got it what I hade expected for .. thank you the team for your hospitality .. will be back soon ..
The Rishi's ek is an elegant and marvelous restaurant in Glasgow had been there with friends and tried some of their cuisine and they were excellent and delicious and mind-blowing the food was great ambience of this place is superb and awesome
As a southie in Glasgow I've been craving authentic sambar since forever, and so glad I stumbled upon Rishi's! I had their masala dosa and their idlis and they were to die for. Can't wait till my next visit!
Well ! I can clearly say one of the most authentic and proper indian cuisine across UK and people who know indian food can take my word for it.
Could not take pictures of the food as we jumped on it as soon as it arrived.
We ordered south India dosa and Idli, along with Lamb Balti and tandoori roti; all of which was fantastic and I had no complaints. Myself and wife are big food critics and rarely we end up praising indian food across UK.
A must visit indian restaurant for anyone visiting Glasgow. I’ve bookmarked it for my future visits.
Visited rishis to satisfy our cravimg for south indian food. Ordered idli vada and ghee roast masala dosa and everything was great and freshly prepared. Their mango lassi and filter coffee is good too.
This is my all time favourite place whenever I crave for Indian cuisines. I have tried dosa, paneer, garlic naan and idli. Its difficult to find good Indian food in abroad but it seems I have found a place to satisfy my taste buds ☺️.
Great food. Sometimes they add too much black pepper but overall a great place for both North and South Indian cuisine.
Really like the chilly garlic naan, butter paneer masala, biryani and the dosas.

This was the only Indian restaurant I tried in Glasgow and it was good. I heard about it's dosas and I decided to try one myself. It was really tasty and filling. Lots of chutnies . The sambhar was good too and the size of the dosas were enormous. Had a great evening snack .
Excellent taste. Good service. Some of the best naans I've had in Glasgow. The weekday lunch meals are excellent. I liked the South Indian stuff here too
Unlimited Dosas every tuesday. Love their south indian dishes but you can avoid the chinese dishes which are okay.
They do not have more Jain options which they have to consider for tourists.
Hurrray... Happy to have found Rishi's my god just cant decide what to choose from menu, tried dosa and parota I must say those are the closest to authentic indian food I have had so far in Glasgow, and to the top of that they played tamil music...... what else can I ask for 😜😀😀.. Hope to come back again , and again, and again
Being away from home and missing South Indian food, I ended up here after recommendations from friends. By this time my biryani craving was at its peak so I asked for mutton biryani. Waiter clarified that what they serve is lamb meat and not mutton. I sort of expected that after a few experiences with other places in Scotland serving mutton biryanis. They actually serve lamb and not mutton. Feeling disappointed to know that's the case here too, I settled for it anyway. Biryani was satisfactory. Nothing to blow one's mind. It did not have many accompaniments so I had to order a gravy separately. This will pass as an answer to such pangs of longing for biryani while being here. However it is mediocre in taste. However, I will try experience other dishes here later. Service is good. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ambience is nice. Place is well maintained and is clean. Great for family dine outs.
I never thought that I could get a restaurant which serves authentic South Indian meal in City of Glasgow. Food was excellent. Thali was value for money and I also liked the Chettinad Chicken.
Glasgow has very few south India cuisines. But Rishi's offer authentic South Indian food at a very affordable cost than many other restaurants. I have been to Rishi's numerous times during the past year. The rice meals which they serve is very filling and the quality of the food is also really good. And, if you are a dosa lover, this is the place to visit in Glasgow.
Last weekend went there to had Dosa...but changed my mind and ordered Chicken Kothu Parotta. The taste was authentic with spicy masala and mor chunk of chicken pieces. I could not eat that all...the quantity is more.Next time will try dosa
If you're a fan of dosa then Rishi's is the place to come in Glasgow. Located downstairs in the middle of Bath Street, the restaurant can be easy to ignore. However, the food is mostly good (although I would avoid the chapitis as they seem to be from a packet). The customer is rather spoilt for choice with so much to choose from on the menu. Service is rather prompt but overall the staff are very welcoming. Rishi's is certainly worth a try.
Been there last year in July. Used to go out from Glassgow for Scotland tour and come back in evening, but had food in Rishi's for all the 4 days i stayed in Glassgow.
A really nice restaurant which serves authentic South Indian food.Liked their dosa varieties and chutney sambhar well cooked.Service was satisfying and the menu pricing is quiet attractive compared to other Indian restaurants
Again a good place for Indian cuisine! You miss home when u are out! So this place will give you everything that u have been missing! Dosas idlies you name it! Waitresses are friendly and cute! ;) Prices for the items are also fine! Not too costly...Would be visiting back soon!
The most amazing and authentic south Indian food in Glasgow! Had their lunch meal which was absolutely worth the price. The mini masala dosa was actually huge (made me wonder how big their regular dosas are). Also had a glass of their filter coffee, served in true Indian style. Overall, a marvellous experience and I'd definitely recommend the dosas!
Yummy yummy yummy... I ordered chana bhatura as it was highly recommended and I must say " I don't regret it" what quantity and taste.. too good. A complete value for money food with great taste.
Awesome
Authentic Indian Restaurant. Staffs are from south India to North India. Ample choices of food from every part of India. I have been to this restaurant more then 20 times.

Chicken Manchurian
Bhej jalfrezi
Chola bhatura
I experienced, every item they serve are fresh and taste good.
Great value and great taste. The south Indian food is totally worth thr price. Do make a point to go and have the unlimited Dosa deal on Monday and Tuesday.
Perfect environment for a family and also for solo visitors. The food is awesome and the staffs are very polite.
I tried:
Tiruveni - awesome refreshing drink
Filter coffee - Exactly as you find in south india
Masala tea- similar to tea in Nepal and India
Naan and Curry - Awesome
Wow. Was feeling for some South Indian brunch this weekend and we found this restaurant nearby. What a find! Amazing
Truly authentic South Indian Masala Dosa and the chutney. The dosa is mega size and equally delicious masala inside served with 3 different chutneys plus Sambhar.
Top class service by Sandeep . Plenty of seats and very clean restaurant.
Parking can be tricky around town centre. Paid parking is 6£/hour.
Absolutely lovely South Indian food and Indo-Chinese starters. Dosa was absolutely crispy and chutneys were amazing too! The ghee roast masala dosa and paneer starters was just the best!
Love being here for authentic indian food ( north and south indian dishes both) fantastic menu and delicious taste, however a bit spicy to indulge. The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is reasonable.
Lovely ambience with good layout of seats. The modern decor has been freshened up with green plants to ourify the basement location. Good toilet facilities however, baby changing facilities were not seen.
Good hygienic place to have quick office parties or even have family dinner. The crowd is decent and the inetrior wall decor reminds of back home in india.
Fantastic meal. We used Rishi's in Edinburgh all the time as it was so good. Glasgow did not disappoint us. We had the railwaymans lamb and a special biriyani.
Thank you Rishi's - we will be back.
Service - Top Notch
Ambience- Very taste smelling
Food - No words
Manage your timeline because whenever you are in at busy time you have to wait for table. Even if table is unoccupied kitchen will be busy to serve you so understand their side also. I have been there a lot of times. I tried Chana bathura, Madras Masala Dosa, gobi manjurian and samosa choley and south Indian Filter coffee as final touch. All the times the food taste very yummy as like in my homwtown(Tamilnadu).
Manager Sadhik and waitress Urooj they always give priority to customers! Everything came at time! No long wait time! Even the kitchen closed they said no coffee but manager gave us coffee so we completed with whole hearted!! So add this restaurant to Must try list in Glasgow😋 Leave a thumbs up if useful.
Lovely authentic Indian taste, fast service and good prices! Have been there many times and quality was always good! One of the best place to find Indian food.
I recently dined at this wonderful restaurant and had the pleasure of trying both their Paneer Dosa and Masala Dosa. The atmosphere was great, with a warm and inviting ambiance that immediately set the mood for a delightful meal.
The crispy dosa was generously filled with a flavorful mixture of soft paneer, spices, and vegetables. It was a delightful combination of textures and tastes that left me craving for more.If you're looking for great Indian food in a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit!
The food was superb. unconditionally recommended. The Best authentic south Indian food in Glasgow. Masala Dosa is highly recommended and Idly for dinner. The special south Indian filter coffee is a must try. Truly loved it.
As an Indian myself, I can vouch for its authenticity. Expect the food to be a bit more spicier than typical British Indian. The service was good. The ambience can be better. Definitely gonna visit again.
Looking at the other reviews, I am surprised to see a number of 1 star reviews, with a long list of complaints. We have not found that to be our experience, and I wonder if it might be a reflection of a competitive Indian restaurant scene ?
We have been lunching on dosas for a few years now, and have always found it to be a good, filling, tasty, reasonably priced, sit in meal in the city.
I've had a lunchtime curry on occasion and have also thought they were just fine.
Service has always been of high standard, quick, and efficient.
We came as a party of 10 and loved it.
Orders were all correct (considering the amount we had), food was delicious and the service was really great.
The dosas especially were delicious.
Only negative is that the tables were slightly too small if you’re having dosas, because of the size of them. Can feel like Tetris trying to fit everyone on at once.
Recommended as a great place to get authentic dosa.
We had masala dosa (£6.95) and a "dosa expert" in our group gave it the seal of approval.
Friendly service.
This Glasgow establishment has now opened an outpost in Edinburgh in Newhaven.
The satisfaction one feels after eating here is like no other restaurant. The ingredients are fresh, ghee is used for cooking, and the flavors are wonderful. Ondre, our waiter, couldn’t have been more personable and thoughtful. We went there 2 days in a row during our short visit and Ondre made us feel like family when we left. Can’t wait to get back to Edinburgh and Rishi’s again.
Food is fantastic (although I’m not Indian, I’m huge fan Indian cuisine and have tried many restaurants in India and abroad) and good value for money
Rishi’s has that homely, comfort feeling you want when you have had a hectic day and just want to eat tasty food without any fancy. Lots of seating, though it might be difficult for larger groups since round table seating is limited and there is more bench style seating.
Recommendations:
- Madras Masala Dosa and Gobi Manchurian. It comes with Sambhar and 3 different types of chutneys which was perfect for 1 person and genuine Indian taste.
Avoid:
- Ordering curries and bread since it’s not their speciality.
