Tenho a dizer que nunca comi salada igual, brócolos, batata doce, queijo feta, quinoa, abacate, romã... i mean what’s not to like?
Freshly prepared dishes from home made ingredients. Ordered the baked beans on toast. All home made of course and was very tasty. In fact I was informed shortly afterwards that it had sold out. By this time it was only a quarter to noon. Great atmosphere and can get very busy at the weekends. There's also a deli counter and freshly baked artisan breads for sale. Worth the wait!
Update: Have been back for the bacon and avocado on rye bread. Next time I’ll try their board specials.
Amazing bakery with prepared salads, soups and a delightful selection of sandwiches and breakfast options. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is relaxing, cosy and friendly. Lovely place to rejuvenate after a day of shopping in Byres Road :)
I haven't tried any other breakfast spots in Glasgow but know it would be hard to find any better spots. The space is adorable and charming and the food is absolutely delicious. Their waffles with bacon and maple syrup will certainly enter my list of top breakfast foods ever. And their Greek thick and creamy yogurt was also memorable. We took baked goods for for the long car ride to Skye and those didn't let us down either!
This fabulous deli and cafe is the perfect spot for a coffee fix, accompanied by your favorite sweet treat! They have a vast selection of baked goods as well as artisanal breads and other special culinary products that you can enjoy at home. The staff are all super friendly and the atmosphere is great. Busy over weekends!
Heaven on Earth. Or on the Byres Road at any rate. Made a pre lunch visit on a Friday. It was busy (as usual) and I expected to have to wait. However, the freindly waitress quickly led me to the balcony area and a prime table ! From here I had a great view of the quite magnificent counter. I have never seen such an enticing array of sweet and savoury delights. It was a tough choice but I opted for the chocolate brioche with my latte. It was gently heated and a portion of cream added before being dusted with icing sugar. They do things properly here and although not cheap, the extra effort justifies the price. In all, a highly enjoyable experience.
Busy for a reason.... Great food and great service. Not the cheapest but worth it and worth the wait for a table.
Top class as usuall. I always wondered what the pull was, but once I set foot in it I realised. Great food, BIG portions, great coffee and pleasant staff. I really don't need anything else
Gorgeous cafe/bakery. Loved the layout. Obviously popular and glad we waited 15 minutes for a table. Food was delicious, fresh and the staff are lovely.
Such a cute brunch spot, we’ve stopped in a few times while in town, and I’m dying to go back for more. The avocado toast is amazing. The waffle hits the spot for breakfast or a sweet treat. All their coffee comes out hot and timely. This is a must stop shop when in town!
K&J always holds a special place in our heart. We don’t live in Glasgow so every time we are in the city, we make sure we stop by as often as we can before we leave again.
Love their ambient and the extremely wide varieties of bread and pastries. And their soups with the delicious cheese scone just hit the spot every single time.
Staffs are always attentive and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back again!
The coffee and atmosphere here was great. For breakfast, we ordered the beans and the mushrooms on toast. The bread was unpleasantly soggy but the flavours were good. Service felt very rushed. The staff were friendly, though, and probably just conscious of the people waiting to be seated.
Not one normally to write a review but had a really lovely breakfast here this morning. As an Aussie travelling the UK I've been missing an Aussie brunch but at Kember & Jones I was able to get some amazing avocado toast and a nice coffee. Would definitely recommend to others - the other menu items and display case full of cakes looked great too.
best gluten free bread i’ve ever had!! just wish they’d have it specified on the menu as an option because i didn’t know until i asked. genuinely SO good!!
Always busy, great food, really nice coffee and amazing cakes.
This place is well worth a visit if you can get a table.
Don't forget to check out the specials.
We came here twice during a week. I really in love with the vibes and everything especially the most delicious food. The staff were excellent at every visit. I will come back again for sure.
It's important to mention that, the waitress added something we didn't want to the receipt by mistake. We asked her about it. She smoothly corrected the total and said sorry for that. I would thank her so much.
Visit this morning for breakfast after staying in Glasgow for the night, didn’t fancy the usual heavy fried hotel breakfast so gave here a go and was not disappointed. Warm waffle with yogurt and fruit isn’t the kind of breakfast I’d usually go for but will definitely be returning on the next trip to Glasgow and highly recommended. We even bought cakes to take away
Staff and atmosphere were great, service and food arrived quickly and with a smile
This is a unique, quirky place with a great atmosphere/vibe. A must if you're visiting Byres Road and even if you're not.
The food is delicious and the cakes, pastries, meringues ( loaded with cream and fresh berries ) are to die for. Have you tried the bacon rolls??? It's the only time my friend and I don't talk lol!
Bit of advice....... check the closing times. K&J is not open in the evenings and it would be a huge disappointment to get there and not get the opportunity to embrace!
It's a very busy cafe but worth the short wait for my first visit today (Sunday mid-day). The coffee was excellent and so was the banana bread that I had. You could tell the staff were working very hard and it was nice to see the baking etc going on just below me. Worth the visit and would definitely visit again!
After visiting Glasgow University we came across Kember & Jones which was great spot for lunch. Waited 15 minutes for a table but it was worth it! We had the the smoke salmon scrambled eggs and pastrami sandwich were both so fresh and tasty.
A must if you’re in the area.
The coffee is phenomenal, didn’t expect and walked in randomly. Was drowned by the cakes and amazed by their coffee. I had americano and friend got coconut flat white. The first sip of the americano was eye opening. The flat white was amazing as well. Pleasantly surprised! I mean who can make americano good means they can make anything good means their coffee was literary good.
a very lovely place, great variety of cakes. I bought vegan chocolate, the savory pastry (don’t know how to call it. Hahahah) and the egg white frost (that’s how We call it in China) very tasty. The vegan one was not sugary very good.

Found this neat cafe in Hyndland on Byres road, I had a steak sandwich on sourdough bread. My family got the soup of the day and a Belgian waffle. The hot chocolate was very delicious. I split a banana and Nutella muffin and that was very good! Would definitely suggest this cafe!
Great place to grab breakfast or brunch. Food was fresh and service was great !
Such good quality salmon, avocado, and quantity of scrambled eggs, made me worry these folk will go out of business, if they don’t go from « way overboard » back down to « just plenty, thank you! » The espresso is also the best around. Pretty sure the cakes will be knockouts, when I come back again, some day. Looking forward to it!
