Akbars - Glasgow - Photo album

Our dining experience at Akbar Restaurant in Glasgow was truly exceptional. We sampled a delightful array of dishes, including the haleem, chicken charsi, and garlic naan, and every bite was a burst of flavor that left us craving more. The value for money here is remarkable. The portions were gener
There are few places that capture the authentic essence of Indian cuisine as seamlessly as Akbar. The menu was really good and generous. We ordered a couple of things but I like Chicken Biryani, Masala and butter chicken. Also, the service from its akbar was excellent. Highly recommended for anyon
It's a vibrant place, but the thumping music is really terrible. It's not at all relaxing and nor does it encourage food enjoying. However, the food itself is blinking amazing. So I've been back. And I'll go back again. And the staff are fab. Did I mention that the food is fab? It is. Just kill th
This is hands-down the best Indian place I’ve ever eaten at, and let me tell you, I’ve eaten at quite a few (including in India^^). At first I was a bit sceptical because it seemed slightly pricy, but the portions are HUGE, making the prices not only reasonable, but cheap for what it is! Everything
As Akbar’s got plenty of reviews thought to give try on my next visit to Glasgow. Finally got a chance to visit last Sunday. We just walked-in without any reservation got a nice seating next to window. Restaurant ambience is stunning. Service is great. When comes to food We ordered chicken pakora a
The food was very good and piping hot. The staff are friendly and attentive. My only gripe was the water clearing away my wife’s plate when she finished, while I was still eating, making me feel rushed. But overall a good place eat.
As a self proclaimed indian cuisine expert, I can't help but validate the dining experience I had at Akbar's. I went with a lot of my friends so I got to taste different kinds of dishes. All of them had exquisite taste. The restaurant was spacious and had a classy ambience. 10/10 will go again
Had dinner it’s a great place with welcoming, nice customer service. Food tastes are nice. Overall good experience.
From the moment we set foot inside, we were greeted , and promptly seated. The atmosphere was great. We ordered 2 different curry dishes , a chicken and lamb apna style . The food took about 15-20 mins to arrive , fresh , and to be honest the best Curry 100% in Glasgow. Last time I visited was a f
Their food is gradually declining in quality unfortunately. Portion sizes have squeezed and their best starter, the lamb chops, is not what it used to be.
Delicious food. Hubby was very pleased that it tasted like a "proper Bradford curry" The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
1st time back since covid. Food was excellent. I had one of the chefs challenges and my hubby had a beautiful dish with a mushroom sauce. Absolutely superb. Service - not easy on a table of 25. Although the staff did seem to shout a lot and seemed eager to get rid of us once we'd paid a sizeable am
The food was great as always, but was told the AC was not working. It was extremely hot in the restaurant and we couldn't wait to leave. We were a party of 20 and if we had known no AC we would have gone elsewhere or rebooked.
A very nice place and excellent restaurant. Exquisite taste of the food and just perfect combination. The service was very professional and the people serving us were very polite. One must order The bread they offer, truly extraordinary experience! I highly recommend this as a place to visit if in G
