As a bonafide carnivore I was sceptical of an entirely vegan menu but I was blown away by the quality in flavour I experienced. Cauliflower wings were incredible. The texture was hearty and rich and the ranch sauce had tang and zing. Loaded fries were huge and had all the salt and spice you could hope for. I don’t think I’m converted but it’s now a great option if I want to be healthier or impress my vegan friends and family. A really homely vibe and one to try if you are looking for a different culinary experience from the norm

One of the first vegan places in Glasgow I have ever visited years ago. Haven't been for a while and decided to see how things are. Was not disappointed. Food is delicious and we got to enjoy some sunshine outside as well.

I've only been in for drinks recently, so can't comment on food. Service was good and the selection was impressive for such a small place. The number of alcohol-free/low-alcohol beers was really impressive! (5 or 6) Prices for some items were pretty high though.

I went here as a group of 5 and really liked the food. I had the cauliflower wings and the jackfruit burger. The portion sizes were huge, so much so I couldn't fit in dessert. The cauliflower coating was lovely and the burger was just fantastic, it was full of spices and flavour. The side chips were quite bland though, no seasoning to them. The reason for 4 stars is that the service isn't great. There were no drinks menus on the table so it was a bit of a guessing game with people wandering up to the bar to have a look. When the waiter took our order he tried memorising it, got it completely wrong then got a pad of paper and we had to repeat our order. Also they didn't clear the tables as you were finished, it was more bung them all at the end out of the way. I think the staff probably need some experience in restaurant front of house duties. Overall though it's definitely worth a visit and I would go back again. I'm not a vegetarian but that burger was better than most meat burgers I've eaten!

I'm in love with this vegan restaurant! My friends and I came here for dessert and I was amazed at how delicious the vegan brownies are ...... I think it's a difficult thing for any restaurant to try to make vegan brownies taste good. Next time I will come for a meal🥰

Great local serving vegan food. Staff were friendly and attentive. Portions were generous and decently priced. Wife and I had the burger and Mac & Cheese which we both enjoyed. The toilets could use some sprucing up (!), hence the 4 star

One of the best restaurants hands down. Vegan or non vegan, Has to be the best in Glasgow. Really cool bar. The service is so good! Took care of my dietary requirements. Had the vegan bacon and avacado sandwich. Doesn't get much better than this. Value for money is also really good. Not over priced and monster portion sizes. Only if I could eat here everyday.

Top quality place. I always visit here when in Glasgow. The wet burrito is great. Very tasty food. Opens at 11am. The service is really good and very friendly staff. Really decent bar with many options. There is live music some evenings. Well worth a visit for everyone, you dont have to be vegan to enjoy this place is the food is very tasty.

Presenting a local pub and gig venue alongside some of the best vegan eats in Glasgow is a really fresh and modern taken on what a vegan meal experience can be; Warm, Welcoming and Fun for all! I’ve come to expect a less than inviting approach to service in all the vegan restaurants I’ve visited over the past 6 months, however the rapport between staff and client at The 78 is akin to a local village pub rather than pretentious/passing fad eatery. Dogs being allowed is a huge plus, and it is possible that there is some kind of unspoken grooming competition in play! Inviting to all, I highly recommend a visit. UPDATE: Brunch is a new addition and is simply outstanding! After a heavy week (or Saturday night!!) this is the answer to that hungry question that every person has around 10am on a Sunday.

This is a great vegan place for food and drinks. Staff is very friendly, prices not too bad and seating outside in the sunshine is grand. I even spotted Paul Higgins in there! Location is pretty convenient so would definitely recommend if you are around the West End area.

Really lovely, friendly establishment which is doing something a little bit different. The staff are knowledgeable, attentive but not intrusive. I had the special soup as a starter and the tofu curry for main. I actually couldn't finish it as the portion sizes are really decent. Would recommend coming here when there's less of a rush. I was able to be seated and have a perfectly acceptable, dare I say, lovely meal because I made it just before rush hour! It can get busy incredibly quickly but that's testament to an establishment doing something right! Super glad I was able to try these out during this visit. Ps. Thanks Kevin for excellent suggestions!

Tasty vegan food, pleasant service. Location is right near the Kelvingrove so it makes for a nice afternoon of art viewing and cruelty-free eating. The ambiance is cozy and there is ample seating for large groups. Our group of nine was accommodated nicely. The graffiti in the restroom stalls is hilarious, too. Worth a read ;)

This place is alive with youth energy and fantastic music. It is a small place though but packs lot of fun. Drinks are well priced and is vegan friendly.

Every time I come to Glasgow I come to this restaurant. I've had the burger and the falafel wrap, both were super tasty. There's usually only 1 or 2 people serving so service isn't immediate, but everyone has always been super nice.

Great comfort food, the burger is amazing and the churros... words are not enough to describe the tastiness of this heavenly sweet treat. The way it's prepared at The 78 is beyond competition, the chocolate cream is simply unique. I will miss this place.

Nice vibes, friendly staff and very good quality/quantity for money! Also love how everything is standard plant-based without it being obviously advertised as such (coming from a vegan, it's lovely to see how it is mainstreaming!) I had the breakfast special that day but I suggest they put that on their regular menu cause it was amaaaaazing!

Came here for the first time on my birthday and loved it. Had the festive dinner which was quality and super flavourful and the churros with ice cream and lemon curd was fab. Great place to go as a vegan
