We enjoyed a lovely Afternoon Tea with Prosecco here, with wonderful views over the Glasgow city centre skyline.
We were served a delicious assortment of sandwiches, brioche rolls, sausage rolls, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a yummy selection of cakes.
We can't wait to go back!
beautiful view from the 7th floors of Windows restaurant, busy place food was good. I would recommend anyone to go and enjoy their lunches and afternoon tea 🍵😊. I would go back again. It's so close to Queen Street station, too.
The view is just spectacular! If you want to see Glasgow from above, this is a good spot for it! The restaurant has two small terraces where you can sit outside and have a drink. Inside it is very cozy and I liked the atmosphere. Also the staff was very friendly and very attentive, asking several times if we wanted anything else. The food was coming fast, was very nice arranged and totally yummy. Alltogether a really pleasant experience!
The view is very nice, about the same height as the buildings around the restaurant. So you have a nice side view over the city with chimneys, towers, older and more modern buildings.
After chilling outside for a while until sunset on a warm sunny day, we went inside and had dinner. Even though some of the older reviews were not so good, we enjoyed the food very much. The staff was also very nice and accommodating.
The location was amazing! We went primarily for the unique view of Glasgow. We had the afternoon tea which was ok - selection was relatively normal to other afternoon teas offered around the city but nothing to complain about either. It's a great place to bring your moms for a treat in my opinion!
Great location, fab views. Nice high tea. Worth a visit.
Visited windows restaurant for “Afternoon Tea” several times. A hidden gem in Glasgow city centre with stunning rooftop views, and if your lucky to experience a day in Glasgow when the sun is out, they have 2 mini terraces at each end of the restaurant to allow you a peak at the spectacular rooftop views over Glasgow City Centre.
Food is always great, scones are excellent, always find the service great on arrival then seems to stagnate after this, a small observation.
Overall great, the restaurant itself could do with a refurb, it has so much potential and would make a great rooftop hotel bar.
Always on my list as a goto for Afternoon Tea.
Very accommodating staff very friendly, short waiting times, no hurry to move us on etc etc, I highly recommend this place to get away from the hustle and bustle on the high streets and very affordable too, great for tired kids (try get the sofa tables). We didn't book we walked in from the street as we were tired and hungry and it was raining. Perfect, thank you.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Nice service, reasonable prices, fantastic views over the city. Would love to go back, especially in the summer and get one of the tables outside in the roof terrace!
Situated on the top floor of the Carlton George, this restaurant offers spectacular views of the Glasgow rooftop panoramic vista. St George's, Tron is the hotel's nearest neighbour, as seen in one of my photo's. Sitting at a window table, you have a perfect view of fledgling pigeons making their first attempts at flying, very entertaining.
Service at the restaurant is very good, as was the choice of meals, served very acceptably by Carol and her colleagues, Gary and Nicole.
Our first visit to this hotel, and indeed to Glasgow.
Vistas at Windows Restaurant.
Excellent Team Gary. Shannon & Amy. Fusion of flavours. Superb food. Angus steak delightful. Cooked to perfection. Fresh cut chips. Beer battered onion rings. Peas. More peas please. Sauce of your choice. Fresh catch of the day with all the trimmings. Tasty huge too. Choose starter or dessert. Main courses extremly generous. Cooked to your liking. Open kitchen see busy chef's. Pink Gins, Procecco, whiskies, bottled Beers only. Well priced. Fine restaurant. For occasions too. Thank you to a wonderful superb team from Susan & Dermot.
We had lunch at the spectacular view restaurant. The beef burger is pretty juicy!
Went to Windows for Afternoon Tea on the occasion of my husbands birthday. We were shown to a lovely table by the window. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was plentiful and included pastry savouries, finger sandwiches and a brioche roll with various fillings.Scones with butter, jam and cream.Tunnocks tea cakes and a selection of small cakes which included Victoria sponges.Tiffin squares Macaroons and a gorgeous orange cake. Can't eat them all? No problem! Our lovely waitress got them boxed up to take home. Another lovely feature was that the tea was hot rather than just warm and we had mugs rather than cups, meaning that we could enjoy a decent drink of tea. We were offered tea' top ups 'but as each pot held 3 cups we didn't require any extra.
The experience was made even more special for my husband when a special plate with Happy Birthday piped in chocolate arrived bearing cake and cut strawberries. A lovely touch from the chef on hearing it was a birthday visit. To top it all. The views were terrific! We hope to visit again. I highly recommend Windows Restuarant for a great Afternoon Tea experience.
