Amazing plentiful presentation of food in a beautiful restaurant on a beautiful street. Excellent service as well. Highly recommend the juicy Dosas and the haggis pakoras as starters. The mains are waaaaaay bigger than I’m used to getting - I would say one serves two. So get two and take home leftovers! The Lamb sharab masti was especially delicious. The naans are also waaaaaay bigger than I’m used to and also way more flavorful and expertly baked. The garlic naan certainly doesn’t skimp on the garlic and the sweeter peshwari naan quickly became the highlight of the table. The table behind us ordered what I believe is the giant naan and if you’re going to try to impress somebody … order that. Excellent and unusual presentation! Many thanks to our server, Diksh, who was beyond hospitable and informative.

First visit in a long time, one of Glasgow West ends most enduring asian restaurants . Tasty pakora, unusually served in a metal cage for starters. My friend and i both had delicious Patia dishes. The tangy sauce tasting exactly like a patia should .This was accompanied by excellent Garlic Nan and fried Rice. The bill for two was £45. The decor is how it should be, traditional with beautiful wall murals. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Situated in the historic Ashton lane, very close to Hillhead Underground. This is a dining experience worth seeking out.

The food was so good, a huge selection for you to choose from as well. We got poppadoms with all the dips, it’s so good l, so are the vegetable pakora. I had the lamb jalfrezi creamy, it’s so good, very thick and nutty, the peshwari naan is the best I’ve ever had. My friend is very happy with her garlic naan and creamy paneer masala. The portion is absolutely huge, everything is super delicious, can’t go wrong. The decor is amazing, I kept staring at the painting on the wall, really good vibe. The service is fabulous, Riya Tiwari was super helpful and friendly, thank you so much! Totally recommend this place!

Good place to hang out and have quality food. Non veg Starter options were all good . Main course vegetarian options were better than non-veg. Staff were polite . Overall good place and can be recommended

Ashoka is located near Glasgow Botanical garden. Starters are the best part about Ashoka. We really enjoyed the platter. They have good options for vegetarians and vegans. Garlic and chilli nan are large enough and very authentic. Will definitely recommend it to someone looking to try Indian food.

Visited here after stumbling across it and was definitely not disappointed and was instead thoroughly impressed. Had chicken pakoras, nan kebab (with beef madras) and nan kebab (with lamb curry) from the small plates menu at lunchtime. Food was much bigger than expected and was very filling and cooking to perfection. Presentation was excellent and staff were very attentive. The chef even came over to speak to us about our food and had a lovely conversation. Overall, we couldn't ask for better and the price of only £35 for lunch, lemonade, half and pint of cobra was just the cherry on the top.

Came with colleagues for a pre launch meal. It was Monday night and quite busy -which is usually a sign! Great range on the menu of traditional and speciality dishes. I ordered prawn puree and lamb saag but asked for half of the lamb to be swapped for paneer which wasn't a problem. The food was delicious with a great depth of flavour. Cooked properly! The portions are huge, so we could have ordered less between us and had less waste. The breads, rices and even chips were also really well made. Would love to come back when I'm up that way again.

This is hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. I had the vegetable pakoras, vegetable tikka masala with cream sauce, and garlic coriander naan. I would gladly make the three hour drive down to Glasgow just for this place alone. Great vibe, lovely servers and amazing food. Definitely recommend hitting this place up when you are in in town.

First time visiting Ashoka and pleasantly surprised by the vegan selection on the menu. Vegan platter to share was wonderful. Dikshita was our server and she looked after us very well. Reasonably priced food and a cosy atmosphere. We’ll be back.

Food has great flavour and freshness but generally stingy on proteins. Service can be a bit slow but friendly. Better than a lot of Glasgow curry houses for flavour, freshness and range.
