Old school city centre Indian restaurant, apparently oldest in Glasgow. Lovely decor, quick service from friendly staff. Lunch menu, traditional dishes. Fabulous old style coffee with sweets.
We visited here tonight for my dad’s 50th birthday dinner. It was my first time here, although it was a little quiet when we first arrived so we weren’t as sure at first but as soon as we were seated the waiter came right over and took all our orders and chatted away. My sister is gluten free and th
The place is amazing. The proprietor was cordial & helpful. Made exact recommendations for our tastes. Our dishes were outstanding. 1 lamb, 1 prawn. The atmosphere is beautifully traditional, not to mention dazzeling clean. If you get to Glasgow & eat out 1 night, make this restaurant your choic
It turns out that I came here 25 years ago when I had my first ever Indian buffet, it was marvellous and I've always wondered if I would go back, and if so what it would be like. Well, it was great and we had a lovely buffet once again.
There is a good selection of dishes, all labelled so you know w
Still a classic restaurant. The place is a bit dated and could do with a freshen up. The buffet is good value for money and the food is lovely, however, I would gladly pay a little extra to get rid of one of the many vegetable pakoras on offer in exchange for another chicken/meat starter, possibly w
Have been several times & always get great service & a lovely meal.
Staff are very friendly & helpful if you'd like to try something different from your normal dish.
The restaurant is spotless very central & offers a great buffet too.
Defo worth a visit!
Been going here 30 years and its clean and well serviced. Small buffet but authentic and delicious. Needs a revamped sweet choice with buffet. Not much of a selection. Where's the chocolate ?meringues? snowballs?🍩🍨🍰🍪🍡🍭costco cakes???
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Buffet is as you can expect if they have been sitting in the trays too long - but staff are keen checking the quantity and quality of whats left however as you may know, pakora will lose its crispy-ness if left in the heat to sweat. Never had a bad meal ordering
I love the koh I noor, you get the whole experience. From the decor to the background music not to mention the food!!! Which is amazing!!! Great choice, and great value with a lunch and pre theatre menu, buffet and a la carte menu. The service is great too, attentive without being over so. The only
Great food. Lovely service. My brother in law is a vegetarian and loves the choice he can have. Their home style of sweet naan is yummy. And being a buffet you can help yourself. All round quality x
The owner greeted us personally, very hospitable and couldn't have been nicer. The food was just spectacular, all of our party had the buffet and there was something for everyone.
One of the best traditional Indian restaurants around. Buffet has excellent choice catering for all tastes. Owner always around to make sure everything okay. Lamb curry to die for
.
Fantastic, friendly service from Waseem and the rest of the staff. The food is always a very high standard, and the variety in the nightly buffet puts some restaurants a la carte menu to shame. I have never had a better curry, and can't think of anywhere in Glasgow I'd rather go for dinner. This pla
Excellent as usual been going to the Koh-I-Noor for decades had the pre theatre fantastic choice and great quality. Staff are 5 star very helpful
can't fault a thing just a shame they want open a restaurant in Fort William as its a long trip to Glasgow.
Best curries in the UK. Always 5 star. Whenever I am in Glasgow I try to visit Waseem and his restaurant.
Always made welcome and always enjoy quality food.
Highly recommend this place
Excellent food. Friendly service. Buffet in the evening Thursday to Sunday allows you to try a wide range of the dishes.
