I visited this restaurant on Wednesday evening with friends for dinner, and what a great experience. The team go the extra mile to make sure your enjoying the food and atmosphere. The food is exceptional and you have a choice of choosing from the buffet selection of which was superb or the Al la carte menu. Eitherway you won't be disappointed. They make sure that if theres something you'd like differently is no problem, i wanted to try a dish that wasn't on the menu and had some extra heat with meat. Wow a fiery little number turned up on our table and all i can say is that the curry was fantastic and hit all the great markers set (picture below). Thanks for a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back soon.
Haaaa been to here for dinner and this is my 1st uk 🇬🇧 restaurant with Indian 🇮🇳 food . Coming to food: we chose for buffet option ae there are quite number of verities in it and it's cost us 13'9 £ per Pearson and food the good taste. Not that much spicy as India but good food 🥘 in uk. Felt happy when entering the hotel as there is a punjabi guy welcomed us with a beautiful smile and that felt we came to our place and very decent place to have food. This place is very neat to Glasgow central station.
Honesty is the best policy and that is what Bombay blues follows.
Meet and greet was perfect to give you the comfort zone and that is the most catchy part of this place.
North Indian food was very beautifully presented with kickoff starters. Chutneys and pickles with salads all u get the taste of India.
Ambience of great, try to acquire the table at the end to feel the open sky.
@Jeevan and Team thanks for making a our evening nice and enjoyable.
Great authentic Indian food, nice ambience.
For vegeterians, the buffet has great range of starters, but mains are limited. They were happy to serve extra dishes prepared fresh to order, which were included in the buffet price.
Excellent value for money! A must visit and definitely a re-visit restuarent :-)
Highly recommend this place.
And the BEST part: Always cheerful, lovely and welcoming staff, courteous service.
I was here for lunch buffet.
The arrabgement was fine but not many variety for vegetarians and the food doesn't look fresh on the buffet.
But as soon as the waitress saw our disappointment she brought a freshly prepared palak paneer and butter roti (tawa).
And that made my day.
I would suggest to order some freshly prepared dish to enjoy the real taste here.
Happy Eating
This is what other restaurants must strive to become. Bombay Blues is an Indian restaurant in Glasgow, and its real achievement is that its food makes you forget that you're outside India. It exhibits quality thorough each and every aspect of its offerings. I had a buffet here, and I literally loved every single item that was in front of me. I ate till my stomach couldn't handle more. What can I say; it's just that wonderful a place.
The owner is a super-awesome person who's very active with the affairs. Its ambience is top class as well. I can give it nothing less than 5 stars.
We ordered food once from Bombay Blue. It might have partly been due to my hunger, but I loved the food especially the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Jalfrezi.
Unlike a lot of Indian restaurants in Scotland, Bombay Blue gets their spices right leading to a more authentic dining experience. The next day I went to the restaurant at 1030 pm, only to find out that they were about to close for the day. Hope to have a meal again sometime soon.
Bombay Blues, Hope street- I am glad that I found this place and thanks to my friend because she recommended me. As an Indian when you are craving for the indian food and same time you get an authentic Indian food with real taste so its like dream come true lol. I ordered the food for take away on the phone. The service was very quick and the price for the food was very reasonable. Taste of curries and biryani remind me back home. I feel sad that I didn't dine in the restaurant. Must visit place.
Authentic Indian restaurant that serves some excellent food. Prompt service and good food. Vegetarians should try out dal makhni and achari paneer. My friend tried their butter chicken and Achari Murgh and loved it. They are quite generous in their portions and always added freebies to my take away order.
Highly recommend this place.
We had two wonderful dinners at Bombay Blues during our 5-day stay in the city. Both times, the wait staff were extremely understanding and amenable to our dietary requirements and made sure to customise certain dishes for us to suit our dietary restrictions and palates, and the results were delicious.
Over the two days, we had, between the four of us, the Goan Salmon curry, prawn curry, kadai sabzi, jeera lemon rice, aloo paratha, papdi chaat (especially fantastic!), pani puri, tadka dal, and the thali. A special mention must go to the yummy garlic naan in the thali, the perfectly seasoned channa masala, the flavourful tadka dal, as well as the decadent gajar halwa and kheer sweet dishes, which were extremely authentic, made with top quality ghee, very lightly sweetened (which suited us perfectly) and utterly soul satisfying. The only thing missing from the kheer, for 100% authenticity, was perhaps a smidge of cardamom and/or saffron, and some ghee-roasted cashewnuts in the gajar halwa.
All in all, two very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable meals at Bombay Blue, and we'd be happy to return again in the future the next time we visit Glasgow. Very good value for money and a genuinely warm and joyful experience for all of us.
We visited this place during our stay in Glasgow for Dinner after reading the reviews. It turned out to be as good as in the other good reviews. We only main course and the meal was great with authentic Indian taste with right spices. The person serving us was helpful in choosing right dishes and was considerate and jolly in nature, which turn enhanced our experience (one star is specially for him)
I have been meeting here Regularly for the buffet lunch for many years. There is a wide choice of starters and mains plus plenty side dishes available and the food is constantly topped up.
Staff are very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant is good. Special mention for Javi who greets everyone with a warm welcome. Great value for an unlimited 3 course meal right in the city centre close to Central Station.
Parents have been coming here for years and I finally tagged along to discover a reassuringly delicious gluten free dinner! I felt safe and reassured throughout the entire experience, the team made sure to constantly talk me through my gluten free vegetarian meal and made me the best Indian dish I’ve ever had.
We were so lucky to have Manjit and team cater our wedding in August 2023. We had many tastings in the lead up to the wedding and it was hard to choose what to have as our final menu as everything was so delicious! We had sharing style plates for the guests, and thali dishes for the top table which was a nice special touch. The food was some of the best Indian we’d ever tasted, and Manjit also went over and beyond to cater for every one of our requests. There was so much food on the day and it was beautifully presented. The guests loved every dish, and we’re still getting comments from friends and family about how great the food was. We couldn’t have asked for a better caterer and team under Manjit. They really made our day perfect and everything ran so smoothly! We can’t recommend Bombay Blues enough, and wish we could do our wedding all over again with them! The Chauhans.
Returned to Glasgow and back to this place. Love it, fantastic food and service. We had the buffet and was not disappointed.
Really loved this place. The food was awesome and authentic Indian style. Especially Gajar halwa was too delicious and didn't find similar taste in entire Scotland. I visited this place twice in a week, and found exactly same menu on both days. Though it was delicious both time, it would be great if buffet menu is changed frequently.

I would recommend this place. The food was good in terms of taste and the ambience was also good. Slightly less options than some of the buffet's, I had been. Overall the available variety of food was more than enough to have a good meal.😊
A must go place for indian cuisine. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Papdi chat and gol gappa was show stealer. If you are visiting glasgow and missing home cooked indian food taste this is your place. Kheer , gajar halwa and gulab jamun is also must try.happy meals😀
Popped in to the buffet. Food plenty and replenished when required. Service friendly and pleasant. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
I love this place. My friend and I have been coming here for a lot of years. Really missed it during Covid. The food (we always have the buffet) is delish & the staff are great - so friendly & welcoming. Thank you everyone. Already looking forward to the next time.
Great lunchtime buffet for great price : 3 courses for £9! Food is of good quality and good variety/selection and staff are really friendly. Various seating areas include main restaurant area, sunlit inside section at back and garden area to the rear. Been here many times and never disappointed.
