Had a great family lunch here today. Food was very good, staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were 9 of us in our party but all the food came out at the same time and was well cooked. Would definitely go again.
I CAN’T SAY that I have many gastronomic memories of Glasgow. Everywhere I seem to turn, the city reminds me of my (failed) attempts to conquer the music world rather than the culinary one. It wasn’t that my band (Calm as the Colour) weren’t any good or didn’t achieve success; we just didn’t become the biggest band in the world as I had dreamed. Luckily, I have this restaurant reviewing gig to fall back on, and tonight we dine at the newly opened 1051 GWR.
Great little find just off Great Western Road, with a good food selection and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere by the general manager. Cruzcampo on offer at only £3, best value for money when looking for a premium European beer. Worth a visit.
We didn't eat here, arrived too late but we had a lovely evening enjoying a few drinks in a stunning building.
The place used to be a railway terminal and was nearly lost but has been beautifully transformed into this restaurant and bar. I loved the TV in the corner showing it's history, quite fascinating.
Outside space is lovely as well, with a small terrace at the side and seating at the front of the property.
There are pods available to hire as well which looked amazing as they lit up as the sun went down
I would like to comment on the bar staff who were really great... One young man quite happy to chat and tell us all about the place, made us feel very welcome.... Loved our evening here 😍
This place looks beautiful. The food was good. The bubbles look great but a tad pricey. We initially tried to book online but then it wasn't coming up right so we gave up. Later figured it out but by then we had food. Pizza was really nice- menu for pizza is sort of "build your own".
Drinks were reasonably priced.
Booked one of the pods and food and staff where excellent. Only gripe was next pods music was mental nd couldnt here ours although they did simmer it down after half an hour. Won't marlk restaurant and staff down as they are amazing and would recommend and will come back again.thanks x
The Tempura Prawns (6) was a great sharing starter for two and the accompanying Mango Salsa was a revelation. My wife had an 8oz fillet steak. The best she'd had in a long time. I had the Ribs, so well cooked, some of the bones just pulled free of the meat. Our waiter, Hamish, was very attentive and friendly. Will we be back? Undoubtedly.
Such friendly staff, so great with the 2yr old that was with us! The ribs on special were absolutely fantastic!
Did the Dome experience with 7 friends. What a brilliant night. Heaters kept the dome warm and we could listen to our own music which by the end of the night saw us all dancing in the dome. Service was very good although a little slow. Food was good but not exceptional and therefore overpriced. The experience is definitely worth it.
Been here a few times on a previous trip and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. My father in law arrived by taxi and somehow managed to blew out the sole on his shoe. Not only did the wonderfull staff provide duct tape to try a temporary repair, they gifted him a pair of trainers from their lost property box when the repair didnt work. I cannot thank them enough for the food, the service and their generosity.
A very considerate, friendly and professional service provided to our family for our Mum’s funeral purvey.
From original engagement with management and staff we knew this was the place that was befitting a farewell tribute for our Mum.
Jenny & Jodie and all other staff members were so friendly and welcoming, going the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Have now booked the domes twice, for very different guests. Some tee total, and others very much not. Both experiences have been fabulous helped by our waitress Melody who was fantastic on both occasions. The food is excellent too. Make sure you book a dome well in advance as there is usually a waiting list

Only stopped in for drinks following an appointment at Gartnavel General Hospital.
It wasn't very busy but very nice interior and pleasant staff. The atmosphere was a little flat as it was early in the afternoon and the weather was wet and grey outside.
The covered terrace upstairs looks as though it would be fun for nights out but
was looking forlorn and empty under the grey skies.
The food menu looks tempting for us to return for a later visit.
Eleni, Bradley, Lucas and Chef were exemplary. The food was fab and they were ALL excellent with my cousin. ..coped well with the wheelchair and went beyond the extra mile ! We will be back. Cannot thank them enough.!!

My fiancé and I went for one of the dine at some experiences at 1051 GWR, and it was nothing short of the best dining experience we’ve had! The domes are like a little oasis that’s very intimate and ideal for a very romantic date night if you’re looking for one. Inside the dome, you get very comfy seating with lots of pillows, blankets if you’re chilly but there’s an impressive dyson heater/cooler to keep you satisfied. The staff and the owner were so friendly and welcoming and gave us the best service, making sure we were taken care of the entire night. The food was incredible, we had the mixed grill sharing board with a variety of meats, sides and sauces and to say the least we had to roll out of the dome. Their portion sizes are mammoth for it and it was well worth it! Thank you for being so accommodating and we definitely will be back again!
Did the dome dining here. It was a fabulous experience! Full moon was out. Play your own music in a heated dome. Experience was 10/10. Food was only okay though. Had the fish and chips 6/10.
