What a place the food,Staff and Restaurant were first class, honestly was the best Italian we have had in years đź‘Ť. Also the staff were very efficient and helpful. Would highly recommend this Restaurant.
Manager Euan welcomed us very well when we came In and assisted us to our table. In the midst of a full swing restaurant our food took 35mins to come and we were really hungry. Waitress Katie took really good care of us and kept tabs on our order with the kitchen. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner after the food came. Everything we ordered turned out amazing in terms of taste and quality. To make up for the late food, Waitress Katie and Manager Euan delighted us with free desserts and a few alcoholic beverage. It was really really nice of them to do that. To me this is the most recommended restaurant in all of Scotland.
Fantastic dining experience! I have coeliacs disease & need a strict gluten free diet. Servers were knowledgeable & careful when serving me a beautiful lunch! Huge thank you to staff at Amerone.
Natty says freaking awesome!. Nice Saturday lunch al fresco style. What more can you ask for. I had a fantastic risotto with chicken and my friend had salad. We were both very impressed by the quality of the food and the salad was exceptionally fresh. Cant fault it in the slightest, the service was fab too.
Patio dining. I had just got into town from the US and was looking for a place to eat dinner. I had not checked any reviews, I just wandered out from my hotel and started looking at menus. I eventually ended up at Amarone sitting on the patio.
The place was enjoyable, I had a chance to watch people as they enjoyed their Saturday.
The food was good, although I was surprised to not get any butter or dipping sauce with my bread and olive appetizer. My rigatoni Salsiccia was a nice dish for only 9.65.
Service for me on Saturday on the patio seemed a little slow. I dont know if that's typical or not, this was my first meal in town.
A bit pricey, but I don't mind as it's a trade off for good food, excellent service and modern and clean surroundings..
Lovely but expensive so definitely a special occasion choice.
This contemporary Italian in the heart of Glasgow city centre is the perfect way to unwind in style after a hard days shopping or work.
Set below ground level, this place feels like a secret little hide away, tucked just out of view from the rest of the High Street. It's décor is elegant and simple and the layout, although spacious, still retains an element of intimacy for those romantic nights.
The menu is fantastic, providing an excellent selection of pasta dishes rather than the bland and predictable fare served up in most Italian joints. The tagliolini with spiced chorizo and the rigatoni con salsiccia with crumbled Italian sausage are both well worth a shot.
I opted for the tiger prawns with garlic, cherry tomatoes and fresh chilli to start and the pan seared duck breast served pink with Amarone wine sauce, savoy cabbage, pancetta and figs for main.
The prawns were cooked to perfection and the chilli provided just the right amount of heat to spice the dish up. The sliced, warm cherry tomatoes were an excellent addition with the only downside being that the dish wasn't double in size.
They certainly didn't scrimp on the duck breast, with two well sized slices arriving at my table having been perfectly cooked by the chef. The savoy cabbage had a good, crisp texture while the pancetta provided a welcomed added flavour to the mix. The confit of figs were prepared beautifully and added a playful, yet mysterious element to the dish.
Amarone is a place you could come back to every night for a week and choose something different of the menu each time, with the added bonus being that each time could possibly be better than the last.
Great menu, attentive staff and great atmosphere! Ideal location and close to Queen Street Station. Loved the atmosphere, lovely booths, and a fantastic open plan kitchen so you can watch the chefs work their magic. Can't wait to visit again and disappointed I hadn't tried it before now! Thank you team Amarone for a lovely evening x
Was on visit from The US for the World pipe championships. This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and the staff are incredible. The food was delicious.... The manager was an Angel, he went out of his way to accommodate our need to have lunch early. Will always look back at our experience at this restaurant with gratitude and appreciation. Glasgow will always have a special place in my Heart ❤️ Thank you kindly Debbie
My family and I were in Glasgow yesterday
and stopped in Amarone for lunch. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are very friendly.
I noticed a great difference, in the menu since the last time we were here some months ago. Really pleased.
Definitely will be back and soon.
We went for lunch at Amarone and ordered starters and mains with a bottle of wine. The starters (not pictured) were really lovely and the mains were good too, but the pasta was a little dry. Overall the service was good and our servers were very friendly. Compared to the other branches I've visited in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, I found the atmosphere of this venue to be a little cold and dark, possibly because it's underground.
Can’t rate this place enough. Me and my boyfriend called in for lunch whilst on an overnight stay in Glasgow. The food is absolutely delicious, the drinks are beautiful too. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Good value for money too. Worth a visit
Went for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed it. All the food was good and not too pricey (by city centre standards anyway).
There are better Italian restaurants around, but it was well worth the money - 2 x 3 course lunches and a kids' pizza for just over ÂŁ75 which included some soft drinks.
10/10 meal, can’t remember the last time I had food as delicious as that! We had the scallop pasta and n’duja pizza, absolutely incredible and all made gluten free as we have coeliac disease. The gluten free pizza dough was amazing and couldn’t tell it was GF, the scallop pasta was so unique and one of the nicest pasta dishes we’ve ever had. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, they even split our pizza and pasta in half for us as we were sharing. Perfect meal thank you!
We were all over the city looking for inspiration for lunch.
As the weather was inclement, we decided to sit inside.
It was busy but we got a booth to ourselves. We ordered chicken for one dish and clams as another dish.
The tiramasu and disaranno as a desert was delish.
Meal was great, not one complaint with any dish ordered. Even the wee ones pizza was good!
Waiting times were good as well, no complaints from me.
Happy to pay to automatic 10% tip as well due to large party.
Highly recommend.
This was our 1st visit to Amarone in Glasgow but certainly won’t be our last .
I food was simply amazing !
We can’t remember what the king prawn dish was (see pic) if anyone can tell us what it’s called please do so we can order again next time !
Staff very friendly and we cannot wait to return again .
My wife and I came here earlier than our reservation and they accommodated us. Drinks were good, food was delicious, and service was very fast. Bruschetta app was great. It was a bit loud and busy because it was crowded, but I can see why it's popular!
I had been so looking forward to eating here and it didn't disappoint. The food was really good. The drinks were delicious. The staff were very glamorous and treated us so attentively. Well done!
Excellent experience sitting outdoor while we just got off train
We went there to grab something for a lunch. Cosy, well kept place with a stylish, minimalistic décor. Polite and friendly staff look after you very well. Food is simply delicious and they also have good variety of wines. I definitely would recommend this restaurant but also is good to book a table ahead. Go there and enjoy.
Nice little find!
Enjoyed the food and the service.
I choose the lunchtime set menu with a good choice of freshly prepared dishes to choose from.
Reasonably priced with a small supplement for a few of the dishes
The regular menu had an extensive selection of traditional Italian dishes and good local Scottish meats etc.
Good range of wines available to order by the glass
Nice cocktail selection.
Lots of staff available so fairly attentive!
Busy Friday afternoon when I visited.
Great location in the centre of Glasgow.

The food is amazing, we had really nice pastas! The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the place is so authentic and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
Cold rainy evening in Glasgow, par the course, no pun. 4 of us travelling from Lancashire for a couple of days in Glasgow and decided to book .
Warm welcome and a lovely cosy , intimate , Italian restaurant. Loved the seating arrangement as you get the vibe of the place but without being too intrusive .
The food was fantastic. Everything was hot , fresh and great ingredients and produce used . The foccachia breads were dutifully devoured to the last crumb . For the mains , my fillet steak was cooked to perfection and well rested . The pasta dishes the others ordered were nice and polished off and so was the chicken with the fondant potatoes. Then came the highlight. O was stuffed and didn't fancy a dessert but my fellow diner noticed a lemon and lime creme brulee with shortbread biscuits . Wow , wow ,wow after a heavy meal and expecting more lushness to push me over the edge into a food coma , this was light , refreshing and together with soft buttery shortbread biscuits, just simply a divine way to finish off a great meal .
Prices are reasonable, ambiance is bang on and service was excellent and to boot it had halal options.
If in Glasgow, deffo vist . Bring an umbrella though .
Hadn't visited for some time but will be back soon. Food was delicious, service swift and friendly. Very warm atmosphere and buzzing for a Tuesday evening.
