Best Italian in Glasgow! Fratelli Sarti own three restaurants in Glasgow. I went to the one on Bath Street. I stayed in the hotel next door, and what I noticed was that everyday, lunch or diner, the restaurant was packed with locals and Italians.
Service is great and very old style Italian.
Especially the pizzas are great!

I highly recommend it!

Sarti is the best Italian restaurant in Glasgow. Decor, ambiance, food authenticity all excellent. Previous reviews are correct in criticism of staff attitude, however this is only occasionally the case, and probably only in the Wellington Street location when Renato the Manager/Owner is not there.

Great stuff. Reall quality food. High quality even at lunch. Nice pasta noodles, full cream sauce and a tender beef. The mushroom soup has a very consistant and lovely texture, beautiful flavor. Fab for lunch. Better than two $$.

I like this place very much and have been here several times. Only once disappointed when given a rather crunchy risotto. More disappointed by waitress who tried to convince me that it was just" al dente" , no dear , crunchy!! Chef agreed and we got a free desert. Wouldn't put me off going back.

Visited on recommendation from friends and family.
Restaurant is downstairs and was buzzing with happy chatty people. Lovely waiter helped us pick our dishes and service was great. Food tasted amazing and from comments we heard around us most people thought the same.
One gripe though, and it was a big gripe. When we were brought our bill, the plate had small sweets on it as is the norm. Whilst chatting away, I popped the sweet into my mouth and was shocked that it was a chocolate covered peanut. I have a relative that has peanut allergy and had this happened to him could have sent him into shock. I mentioned this to the waiter and to be fair he did say that he would expect someone with a peanut allergy to speak up and he would not serve the sweets but in a busy restaurant environment when waiters are busy and customers eating and chatting mistakes can happen. These kind of after dinner sweets are usually mints or candy and nuts was the last thing I expected to find. Our waiter did say he would pass our comments onto management so we are happy with that.
That aside it was a great dining experience and will definitely visit again.

We had a booking for 18:30 on a Friday evening for a friends 50th birthday. It was a really hot night, highly unusual for the time of year. We each had a starter and a main and a couple of bottles of wine to share. The portions are a healthy size and the food is delicious. Staff are very friendly and offer a great service. Total bill including a tip was £250. Between 6 of us not bad for a lovely night out with excellent food.

This is such a lovely place. The staff is warm, the food is fantastic and it is a real neighbourhood place. Sitting in the front you can see they know their customers by name and the banter is great to take in. This was my second visit on business and it was a pleasure to soak up the atmosphere. Special thank you to the bartender, she’s a real treasure. I’ll be back for sure on the next trip. Thank you!

My favourite restaurant in Glasgow. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming! Love the wide selection that they have on their menu and I'm yet to have a disappointing meal. Solid five 🌟s.

Let me just straight get to the point! There’s something for everyone here, and there’s also one thing for everyone- the not to missed STRAWBERRY TIRAMISU. That’s not the name on the menu, but I’m not arguing with the bard, so what’s in a name? This exceptional dessert, which is Homemade, (like their regular tiramisu, which is also excellent) was made fresh in the morning, and it’s melt in the mouth goodness, except with the gentle and only a very tad tangy was like a hug of sweet delight! Big Thank you to the cheerful young lady who told us that it had been made just that morning and suggested we try it! This place is right by our hotel. The rooms do not have a fridge, so we made a very wise executive decision. We purchased our dessert for the next day, and requested that the restaurant save it for us in their fridge. We’re set for today. And, oh yes! They have quite a variety on their menu. Options for Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free included. Everything else we took was good, Two pizzas, one dish of lasagne, and one fillet of bass with freshly cooked vegetables. It was all good! Oh, and house white wine, good opening notes, then a tad dry, peroni on tap, also good. Of course, the regular coffee chocolate homemade Tiramisu which was excellent, and the Strawberry on the cake? It was the Homemade STRAWBERRY TIRAMISU, flush with the sweetness of young love! And, we have some for today!

Oh my what a delight this place is! Authentic Italian cuisine - no junk, no fuss. Immediately I’m going to say to you - book your table because you may find it hard to get in otherwise. While I was there, five or six walk in tables were turned away. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and attentive. I went on a late Saturday afternoon when it was busy, busy, busy - mainly with Italian families presumably eating the food from home. That’s the best part - the food. I had a large seafood stew filled with everything - mussels, prawns, clams, squid etc etc all served in a hearty broth. Then on top of the great size pot, a big round warm focaccia to dip in all that broth.a great portion, steaming hot. Prices seem very reasonable for the portions - but to be honest I would have paid a lot more for the dish I received. The restaurant was clean and though busy, was efficient. There is an open kitchen at the back where the food is cooked. Perhaps the glass could have been chilled before serving the rose wine - but so minor a point it seems hardly worth mentioning. Will I go back - absolutely, again and again. Even if just for the shellfish stew and the good time. Well done everyone at Sarti, this is genuinely a place worth visiting time and time again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our authentic trip to Italy! Very varied and interesting menus. Generous portions. The affogato coffee is the best... the ice cream silky smooth.

Nice busy bustling Italian restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. Was very busy so probably book a table. Food portions were plentiful. Lots of staff..friendly enough. I thought the bill was quite pricey, but not wildly over the top. Would return as the place had a good vibe.

Can't thank the team at Sarti enough for helping us to organise such a special 30th birthday meal for my friend. From the organising of the booking, to the food and all the little touches like adding her photos to our set menu - it was such a lovely evening and we're very grateful. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. Thanks so much, all!
