Update: 8/4/23: I’ve been to this restaurant twice over the years now and must say that both times the food has been delicious and the service has been first class. Nothing has been too much to ask and we were truly made to feel comfortable as if we were at home. I will make sure to return next time
Great place to relax lovely staff and much better with younger new manager with lovely polite manner that makes it More peaceful place to visit now he certainly shines out from the rest and makes you feel very welcome good job on choice for replacing old manager and making a positive differ
Had a great afternoon for 4 at The Glasgow Institution that is "The Ubiquitous Chip". Excellent food and wines, the fillet "medium" being perfect and the eclectic cheeseboard also. Have never had a less than fantastic time here.
The food was delicious and the service first class izzy was very helpful.
The Brassiere at the Chip has now been around for a while. When I first came to the Chip in 1977, the even then famous Ubiquitous Chip was a the reataurant and a big pub. The Brassiere wasn't there. I'm not sure when it opened but the Brassiere is now a Glasgow West End legend. As the name suggests,
Lovely atmosphere, great service, unique choice of food. Ideally situated near University of Glasgow, definitely worth a visit.
Place to be. Location Ashton Lane. West End. A famous beautiful restaurant in Glasgow.
With several bars inside and of course the restaurant with its stunning backdrop setting of the leafy almost tropical setting along with a water feature.
Greenery plants that cascade and hang from the balcony.

It is a decent restaurant and the food is novel and well presented. However it's a little rougher at the edges than the main restaurant. Food was slightly less deep and rich in flavour and white wine arriving at room temperature was far from ideal.
The Chip is a Glasgow institution, and the Brasserie is such an amazing space unlike anything else in the city. My friend described it as feeling more like something you'd find in southeast Asia rather than Glasgow. Its a very open feeling, atrium kind of situation.
Utterly brilliant afternoon at this place!! I am dairy and gluten intolerant and they went out of their way to make sure what I ate was all pucka!! Truly wonderful place, that genuinely does care about their clientele. Heading back asap...
The Brasserie at the Ubiquitous Chip is a long established restaurant in the west end of Glasgow serving the best quality Scottish cuisine - set on the gallery overlooking the main restaurant it serves a good range of freshly cooked fayre including "small plates" so you can taste a selection from th

Now what can I say about the chip in Glasgow’s west end I don’t often find myself down Ashton lane but when I do I usually end up eating here
The food is great my favourite is always haggis though I did find Myself pinching a bit from everyone’s plate I’m not usually one for the sweets but in this
Great food and staff. Quite expensive so a meal for a special occasion!
