I was looking for a new place to try for lunch and after taking a walk around the city centre I found myself outside Cafe Antipasti. Their menu looked interested so I ventured inside.
They have a very reasonably priced set menu, but I opted to dine from the a la carte menu. I started off with gnocchi dumplings, served in a pesto and parmesan cream. This was lovely. The sauce was rich and creamy and the dumplings had a good consistency to them. For the main course I had to go for one of my favourite Italian dishes, lobster ravioli. This was delicious, served with cherry tomatoes and garden peas.
The service was prompt and friendly and the interior is comfertable. I'm very glad I stumbled upon this restaraunt and I will definetely be returning in the future to dine there again.
Great lunch. Had lunch at Antipasti today and really enjoyed it. Haven't been in for ages, but can't wait to go back now!
Lovely!. A group of us booked in for my birthday and we were all really impressed. The food was wonderful, the staff really friendly and well able to cope with a large party, unlike other places I've been. Will definitely go back!
Really good value. 2 courses for £6.95! You would be hard pushed to beat that, especially as the food is delicious. Chicken with mash, olives and capers. Yummy!
Lunch for a fiver, yes please!. I have been here a couple of times for a 5pm.co.uk lunch deal.
It is an outstanding deal, £5 for a two course lunch.
My last visit I had pate followed by a baked Tuscan bolognese. My mum had king prawns followed by the Tuscan bolognese as well.
The food was really tasty and there was so much of it for the price you pay.
Cant fault this deal at all, well worth a visit!
Can't fault it. Excellent value, great service
Very nice pasta and really cheap 2 or 3 course menus until 5pm. Nice atmosphere as well. Our dishes came very late but that could have been just bad luck. Nobody said sorry though. Anyway, really nice food in normal prices
Been several times and always had a good meal. Staff very pleasant and if you book through 5PM.com you get three courses for £9.95!
Great Dining Experience. We have had many lovely meals in Cafe Antipasti, the food is great, well priced and the atmosphere and lighting are always just perfect. A good place for a meal or a coffee.
The service in particular is fabulous, with friendly knowledgable staff. Big thumbs up from me.
Spent a lovely couple of hours here recently on a date night with my husband. We had never been before, but the menu outside drew us in. Reasonable prices, warm and inviting inside and friendly and knowledgeable staff made this a magical experience.
The gnocchi was beautiful, as was the salmon pasta. My husband chose the king prawns as a starter and the chicken pasta, and all were cooked to perfection.
Dessert was just enough to complete the meal. Cost for all, including a bottle of processco, was around the £90 mark.
I would highly recommend a visit.
Just came here for breakfast as a large group and had the best experience. The manager was very attentive and accommodating to changes in food items and drinks. Everything was amazingly presented and tasty. The homemade baked beans were something else! For such amazing food, the price was quite low. Great spot for breakfast, would definitely recommend.
Went for the pre-theatre two course dinner, had the chicken liver pate and a mushroom pizza. Both were delicious and great value for money. The setting was cozy, and the atmosphere relaxing. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be back!
We (group of 7) had dinner. The food was amazing. I loved the wee plates, and I had the meatballs, pate, and ravioli. we shared fries and bread with dipping oil. Will 100% be back and recommend
The staff were lovely. I ordered the seafood pasta and commented I couldn't taste scallops. Very tasty never the less. I spilt cheese sauce on my shirt and the waitress brought me a wipe. Very sweet.
Brilliant food with suitable price. I must tell you that you should not miss this awesome place if you live in Glasgow!!
Dinner at this cute restaurant was a great decision! The establishment itself it modern, clean, cute and cozy. Food is flavorful, filling and nicely presented. Pricing is spot on and the service is friendly. Pure quality.
Dined here tonight. Fantastic service, lovely interior and tasty food. Also have gluten free options. I would recommend.
Very nice atmosphere with great romantic cosey decor, everything was clean and very enjoyable . Great for grpups and romantic meals too. Staff is friendly and attentive even though there is a number of people serving thebsame table.. Menue has a good range and prices are on the lover end considering it is a city centre with a large portion sizes. I would take a rain check witj cream sauces. I ordered wilde mushroom and triffel pasta. The mushroms were not wilde and i could not taste truffle at all. We had issues with two dishes that jad cream cheese sauce that was overheated and split , leaving pasta to be saturated in oil from the cheese. Staff was very pleasent on review and they did not charged us for the these dishes even though I would pay , so 100% for the front of the house team and cheff may need some more refinment
Highly recommend the minestrone, vegetarian platter, and Eton mess cheesecake!
Great value pre theatre three course meal — frankly one set could’ve fed both of us!
All so good.....food, service and atmosphere.
Had the pre theatre which was very good value....good start to our evening 😊
Stopped on for a later evening dinner, and was treated to a wonderful table, amazing food, pleasant staff and excellent atmosphere. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and extremely flavourful. Do yourself a favour and make this a stop in.
A brilliant night out.
16 of us, all well fed and watered.
Excellent friendly staff.
Great menu.
Food was lovely great atmosphere. Staff very nice. Prices great.
Antipasti always has a big portion of food so don't exaggerate your eating! Last time I couldn't finish the starter lol. This time I tried the pre theatre menu which was very reasonable! I had a linguine with chicken breast, mushroom, spinach in cream sauce. It was great but the pasta was not linguine but spaghetti. The steak and chips were amazing too! Highly recommend. Enjoyable to have a dinner before going to watch Mamamia in the king's theatre.
Good all around. Tiramisu was in a very generous portion. I actually couldn't finish it but it was good. I had dinner, a glass of wine, dessert and coffee for less than £25
The food is amazing, best quality and quantity. The Two course meal is so worth it for the money. Not expensive at all. A must try restaurant for tourists.
mega family friendly. excellent service. delicious food. very fair pricing. what more could you want.
