I had a meal here in January but I am sure it hasnt changed much. This is a fantastic restaurant. Not your standard "greasy" style chinese. Good service and nice surroundings altough I agree that it is a little dark!

Delicious. We had a really nice meal here at this place tucked away in the street behind House of Fraser. We booked a table for 7.30 on a Saturday night. There were a few empty tables when we arrived but it seemed to be getting a bit fuller just after 8pm. It is really stylish and modern inside. A lot of care and attention has gone into the look. A friendly waiter showed us to our table which was quite dark. In fact the whole place was quite dark but your eyes will soon adjust. Service was friendly all round and staff regularly checked we were happy with everything. The food itself was really delicious and tasted fresh, not too oily or saucy as many Chinese places can sometimes be - just perfect. There is also free wi-fi available here. The further up the back you go the less chance you have of getting a phone signal if that is important to you. Recommend a visit to Lychee and we will definitely go back.

Thank you sooo much guys. I arranged to have my birthday there, and couldn't believe how great the service was. Felt like a king, first class staff, and superb service. The food is to die for, been recommending Lychee to anyone. Seriously get it booked.

Fantastic Oriental Cuisine. Lychee is one of my favourite dining hot spots in Glasgow, it's great for any occasion, something special or a casual dinner with friends.

On my most recent visit I went with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday, great wine selection and the food was amazing, the barbecue spare ribs are my favourite, I then had the char-grilled salmon in black bean sauce with jasmin rice, the presentation and the flavours were unreal!

Followed up by the sticky toffee pudding, which is well, see for yourself!

Good whisky selection as well!

Loved the dimly lit atmosphere and the vibes. Perfect for date night/family night/friends gathering. Patient, friendly servers. Free prawn crackers for munching. Palette was missing a certain spice, which I was looking forward to in a Chinese restaurant. Though they were authentic dishes and consisted of all ingredients, a tingling spicy flavour was missing. Great desserts though - good portion sizes. Everything on the dessert menu was yummy!

Very good Chinese food! Interesting choices on the menu. We got the sweet & sour, and the honey chilli chicken! Really enjoyed these. Only thing knocking it off is the price, it is an expensive Chinese (and rightly so with its great quality!) but such small portion sizes. One bowl of rice & one bowl of noodles at £4 each. Lovely venue, fast service, good food otherwise!

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Glasgow. Excellent theming alongside good food and unique cocktails. Service could have been a bit quicker but worth it for the food. Has a good mix of your stereotypical "British Chinese" food as well as some fancier dishes. Good value as paid around £70 total for 2 starters, 2 mains, a portion of fries, 2 alcoholic drinks, and 1 soft drink. Highly recommend the crispy pork belly with spicy black bean sauce.

A Chinese restaurant with a great menu. Lots of choice. It is nicely decorated with a Chinese theme. Staff are friendly and helpful with menu items. Good cocktails too! Not the cheapest place but worth a visit for a treat or special occasion.

Food A1, Service A1, plenty of food for what you pay, atmosphere personally felt a little strange (let me try and explain). The staff members, when finished doing what they were doing, (eg: taking a drink to a table) would then go and stand alone in a dark corner with covid masks on this did not affect service or anything in any way, myself and hubby noticed and just thought it was a little weird. It must work for them because can't fault service one bit.

We enjoyed everything about our dinner experience here. The food was excellent and the waitress wonderful and friendly. We had a cocktail, soup and appetizers to start, then two main entrees and two sides and ended with the banana fritter for dessert with tea. Thank you!

Lychee is such a lovely place and everytime myself and my partner go in they all always greet us happily, such an amazing atmosphere and the staff I can't fault as you walk in they are always consistent in making your time enjoyable and always a high standard service. The food is amazing. We are quite regular in the lychee, so I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to try it.

Don't be fooled by the lane it's situated in. This is a lovely, mid-priced restaurant. It's pretty big and although I was part of a large party we were served promptly with everyone getting their food at the same time. Dark enough for date night but friendly enough for a family get together.

Been coming here for a long time and thought it's time to finally do a review. Went on a Saturday night and was very busy. Recommend you book a table especially on weekends. Food was excellent as always (Recommend the Thai Red curry). No complaints here. Service is brilliant and Staff are friendly and more than happy to have a wee chat with and recommend options. Fyi chicken is halal. Definitely a place to try if you have not already tried.

Was pretty busy when I first went in, but it could have been the time of day. Had to wait to ve seated. However, once at the table, the service was first class, as was the food. Couldn't really fault any of it.

Perhaps not the most authentic but the food is good, the staff are efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was cool. Mix of clientele and usually busy. A bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Duck sprung rolls and chicken gyoza not to be missed

Friday night. Had booked a table for 4 @ 7.00pm. first visit. I arrived 10 minutes early and was still shown to our table. They were very busy. Order a bottle of Prosecco which arrived in a few minutes. Order the share platter which was for 4 which was excellent. We had ordered our own main dish with rice as a side. Excellent portion. Enough for one person. We all agreed that the food was excellent. Service was great. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We all agreed that we had a wonderful time at Lychee and would return. Highly recommended.

Really lovely looking restaurant. The food looks amazing and the portion sizes are very generous. Quite a few tables had doggy bags. Staff were really nice and attentive. The only thing we didn't like was the seasoning. The ribs were overdone and only tasted of salt, the mixed seafood claypot was underseasoned and very bland. The rest of the food was lovely and all arrived hot and looked good, so will probably be back to try again as the above was hopefully a one off. They had great gluten-free options and my partner had no reaction which is always a possibility with new places we try.
