Never thought - UK could give me beyond fish and chips toooooo
I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and had an amazing experience. The food was incredibly authentic, reminding me of the best Indian flavors. It felt like I had good Indian food after a long time. The ambience was pleasant, setting the perfect mood for the meal. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. What's more, the prices offered great value for the quality of the dishes. The variety of vegetarian options was impressive, and each dish I tried was brilliant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying Indian dining experience.
Food is amazing and spicy! They have a special menu for allergies (a lot of plates are gluten free) but they warned about cross contamination! Waiters are helpful and nice, great atmosphere (the room is also beautifully decorated with colourful furniture) and they have a convenient menu offer (1 starter, 1 main and 1 side for 9.99£). Portions are big! Definitely a must go if you like Indian food!
We arrived in Glasgow quite tired and we’re looking for a place nearby without the need to go through booking etc. This place was for sure a very pleasant surprise! Fantastic and generous food, kind and attentive service (by Jyoti - thank you so much for your hospitality) and a very nice atmosphere. Some of the dishes on the menu were quite a novel- we had not seen them in any curry restaurant before.
Go there hungry!
We will certainly be back.
This was the nicest and delicious Indian food we had, very much to our surprise, after trying a few overrated ones in London, and even nicer than some of what we had back home in Singapore. It’s not watered down sweetened British Indian food, the mutton biryani is fragrant, not over buttery, and can taste the spice from other dishes too. We were sad that we’re leaving Glasgow next morning else we’ll definitely drop by again. Friendly and attentive staff. London really needs a restaurant like yours. Highly recommended!
A restaurant that feels like home. We were welcomed warmly, I quickly felt comfortable and happy because they serve all halal food.
Their interior also by far one of the most simple yet beautiful and oozes just the right Indian restaurant vibes.
My order came fresh and hot, also delicious. We ordered the mixed grill, naan, prawn, chilli chicken and all so well seasoned albeit I hope they add more spicyness to it. My kids love her kids meal ( big portion too).
Will definitely come back and take my family here again.
We tried vadapav, pav bhaji and samosa chaat. The food was delicious and the portion size was great too. Loved the service and hospitality.
Also, my wife tried manga lassi, and I tried Masala Chai. Really good.
A great overall experience.
The food is absolutely delicious, definitely worth a visit if ur an Indian food lover!
Gaurav was super nice when I asked him what does he recommend, he recommend the samosa chaat which was super tasty, will be back for more! The garlic naan was really really good and it’s massive. The butter lamb is creamy and tasty. Mango Lassi was also tasty. The portion here is great, really good price too! Priyanka was super kind, excellent service overall!
The decor in the restaurant is so pretty, plenty of seating with a a variety of items from the menu to choose from! I can’t recommend this place enough, can’t wait to come back😊
Food:
The Chole Bhature, Laal Maas, and Paneer Malaidar dishes at this Indian restaurant in Glasgow are truly some of the best I've had in the city. The Chole Bhature was perfectly cooked with a crispy and fluffy Bhatura and well-spiced Chole. The Laal Maas was a standout dish with its tender lamb and rich, well-balanced gravy with the right amount of heat. The Paneer Malaidar was great with its creamy and flavorful Spinach and chilli-based gravy with hints of ginger and soft paneer. Each dish had a unique flavor profile and was cooked to perfection and not to forget the naan, so fresh and buttery.
Ambience:
The ambience of the restaurant was classic and reminiscent of traditional Indian restaurants. It made me feel like I was back in India, with its warm, welcoming atmosphere and traditional decor. The restaurant had a cozy and comfortable feel.
Service:
The service at the restaurant was exceptional, with the staff members Jyoti, Puneet, and Gourav going above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was enjoyable. They were extremely hospitable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, providing us with suggestions and answering all our questions. Their friendly and welcoming demeanor added to the overall experience and made it a memorable one.
Overall, this Indian restaurant in Glasgow is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Indian food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Lovely indian restaurant with delicious food.
Brillant service - we had a great time!
Quirky little Indian restaurant, very friendly and attentive staff and great food that has some unusual menu choices such as crocodile and camel. I'd definitely go here again next time I'm in Glasgow.
Interior decoration and Punjabi ambience with the typical music was nice for an evening tea party with office colleagues. Tea was served in the glass and tasted similar to home tea. Chats items were good, but lacked authentic flavour. But it will still try again and is good value for money.
A fantastic diner! We went there yesterday, a family of 10 and all vegetarians :) A little circumspect at first on the vegetarian options available, but quickly put to rest by the calm and reassuring demeanour of Raman ji, Ms Jyoti, Ms Priyanka, Mr Puneet and the entire team. The food we ordered - from Pakoras to Bhel Puri and Pav Bhaji were all sumptuous. Service was quick - all the waiters have a smile on their faces and are very attentive. During our conversation with Raman ji, we came to know that the chefs were from Uttarakhand, Himachal and even Nepal - the love & warmth of these places reflects in their dishes! A special mention must be made of the warm, tasteful ambience, subtle lighting and above all, the wonderful Bollywood music gems from the 70’s to the 90’s that were played here - a perfect accompaniment!
A must visit if one is coming to Glasgow…we are definitely going back!
I have been a regular customer of Masala Twist. I am head over heal in love with their dahi puri, it is my favourite starter and they serve the best kadi pakoda in Glasgow. I was served by Jyoti she is adorable and very delightful to talk to, helpful regarding selections in the menu. I will back soon, maybe today 😅
Well-managed restaurant with focus on taste and service. Modest but nostalgic settings. You get to view and sense the aroma of the kitchen. The management invests time in meeting and greeting customers and ensuring the food and experience remains up to their set standards. Lots of vegetarian options.

Booked a last minute table as visiting Glasgow for a show. Fitted us in with no problem. Staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful, even having the chef change the flavours of a dish to cater to our taste. Food was fantastic, good portions and very tasty. Would highly recommend.
