I booked to try the new brunch menu, and I think they may have hit upon a winner!!
The menu is perfect, from classics like the full fry up and eggs hollandaise to sweetcorn fritters with avocado and a Moroccan lamb dish (latter two pictured below) plus a selection of sweet options.
The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh and delicious, and good sized portions.
You HAVE to try the home baked scones, the best scone I have had.
two mains, four teas, 2 orange juice and 2 scones for under £40, so I was pleased with the value too.
Will definitely be back!
Top notch!. Top quality food, excellent service and ambience. The Sisters is one of my all time favourite places to eat in the city centre. The 3 course lunch is good value for money; this is modern-Scottish food at its best. Try the mussels as a starter and the puff candy meringue for desserts; I could eat that all day!!
A Glasgow legend and rightly so. Chicken liver pate and homemade oatcakes followed by Sea bass, hand dived scallops, mash potatoes and buttered kale finished with apple and pear betty with vanilla ice cream - £16.95 honestly I'm not making it up just £16.95.
How the Sisters manages to turn out elegantly simple, fresh and all round fantastic food at this price for 3 course is beyond me but they do it consistently and its blooming marvellous.
This fantastic value early dinner set menu is not a poor mans mini à la carte, the portion sizes are ample and the dishes have the full 360' attention to detail and flavour. I have not tried the à la carte but i can only assume it would be even better.
Staff and service at Sisters is very good i cant fault it, the dining area is well lit and inviting, toilets are starting to look a little worn but nothing a lick of paint cant cure.
Sister is highly recommended, my advice would be to sample the early dinner menu before commiting yourself to the full fat à la carte - you will not be disappointed and you will definently want to come back.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and good service. The surroundings are really cosy. The 5pm deal is fantastic value.
Went for a wee family celebration before view going to the hydro so we had the pre-theatre deal which was excellent value. I had the vegetarian option which was butternut squash pastries with an amazing tomato salsa. The back pudding starter was very tasty and the service was brilliant. The interior is well decorated, i can imagine this place is quite cosy when full but wasn't too busy when we went. Will definitely be back, it's great for a family occasion.
Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food. The service is excellent too. Can't fault it.
Great service great food and very comfortable surroundings and Great deals on pre theatre menu
Chose this restaurant from reviews and was not disappointed, it was excellent!
A traditional Scottish home cooked flavour to the menu, The Sisters met and exceeded our expectations. A small converted tenement, the atmosphere was like eating in someone's front room, with a really intimate yet relaxed atmosphere.
Service was really friendly and local, food choices varied and the quality of food and service 5*
Our new favourite restaurant for when we visit Glasgow. Highly recommended 5/5
I cannot recommend this highly enough.
Beautiful, elegant decor and a warm friendly welcome made me really want to try the food on offer.
We were more than happy with the service and the lovely table at the bay window.
Warm fresh mini loaf to keep us going until the starters arrived.
I had the scallops and my wife had the ham hock, and as soon as I took the first mouthful I loved it.
My wife had the lamb and I had the fillet of plaice both were absolutely perfect.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay for dessert but we will be back.
Thank you very much.
LOVED this restaurant. Was recommended to us by a tour guide as a restaurant that serves good authentic Scottish food. The service was good. The food was AMAZING. Good deals midday, but expensive for supper. Recommend going around lunch time for the best experience.
We went there for my fiances birthday. I had the scallops and cheese souffle, a little strange but tasty nonetheless. I had a steak for main - perfectly cooked, and a huge sundae type dessert. Virtually faultless and great value for money.
What a fantastic afternoon! We booked quickly and easily via telephone for this afternoon's meal. When we arrived the staff member on duty vould not have been more friendly and accommodating. We had a brilliant meal including great options for a vegan and a toddler. Excellent sevice and excellent food, will definitely be visting again soon!
This restaurant was brilliant! We went in late on a Friday as a party of 7 and happened to catch a late large party cancellation. The wait staff were wonderful and the food was amazing. The Onglet Steak was perfectly served and all the food was incredibly good. Definitely on the go-to list
Went to celebrate a graduation. Personalised menus, excellent choice, great knowledge of the food from our server and they fitted us in an hour before our booking time. What's not to like?
My 1st time in this restaurant but will certainly be back. Food delicious & reasonably priced for 2 courses but dessert of puff candy meringue too good to refuse so had to have 3 courses.
The service was very good & waitresses all very helpful & pleasant.
1st time visiting this restaurant and definitely won't be the last. Booked through ,itison and you never know what will be on the set menu with the discount set menu.
Really surprised with the choice and the quality of every dish we ordered..
Good attentive staff on hand to look aftra you.
Really good!!!!
We just had one of the best meals of our lives! Food was outstanding! Service also. I can highly recommend the haggis with onion bhaji, braised beef for maims and OMFG the candy meringue with honeycomb for dessert 😍
Amazing food and service. Nice quiet meal for 2 and also amazing value for food you get. Will go again some time
Me and my girlfriend tried here for the first time on Friday. Food was absolutely amazing. Best steak I've had in Glasgow. Staff are really friendly and service was great. Will definitely be back.
Lovely restaurant. Great deals available on lunches and pre-theatre. Food is of a really good quality and always tastes delicious. Decor and setting is contemporary but cosy and the staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Food was wonderful! Servers were very nice and friendly. I don't know how pricing compares to others in the area, but compared to US, food is a good value for the price. Comparable in price to Applebee's, but the food is much better.
