Great Restaurant overall, I love how they have made an Italian Menu with a Scottish twist for the Scottish taste buds. They have a very fair set menu too that you can go for at lunch. You MUST try this.

Repeat visit to what we consider the best Italian in Glasgow, hadn't booked but we're still welcomed in and giving a table, food and service were as usual first class, Amore do a very reasonable pre theatre before 5pm so if you are round about merchant city any time soon, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

It had been a long day in Glasgow and I had a hankering for Italian food before I boarded the train home. Luckily I was in the Merchant City so had a good bit of choice. I’d previously sampled the lunch menus at Qua and the Italian Kitchen, so I thought I’d give Amore a try. On a first floor level looking out over Ingram Street, the place has a classic modern Italian feel. It was a pretty quiet Monday for all the neighbourhood restaurants, but there was still a decent buzz about the place.

I've never been to a better Italian restaurant than this.
Out of the box flavor of margarita pizza and penne arabiatta .
We had also ordered a chocolate brownie Sunday which was just perfect .

I don't understand any bad reviews for this place. The staff are accommodating and friendly; the food comes in large portions for a very good price, and it is of very good quality! The quality to price ratio is definitely 5:1! I would definitely recommend! The food is also served very quickly even when the restaurant is very busy which is a definite bonus. Go there for high quality food at an affordable price without waiting around for your meal!

A nice place. I have been here many times of birthdays since we found it by accident one time in december the place is has a warm and cossy feeling to it as soon as you walk in.

all the times we have been here the food has been lovely with the big portions. The staff have been friendly and helpful and nothing seems like to much trouble for them.

Convenient location, nice ambience and good food. I just wish that the service was a bit better. The waiters seemed disinterested.
Started with Bruschetta Pomodoro and Pizza Vegetariana. Both were well prepared. In mains we ordered Pollo Milanese and Pollo Alla Scozzese. The later was one of the better pasta's that I have had.
All in all a good Italian Restaurant serving pretty much authentic Italian food at decent prices.

The food was absolutely lovely, best Italian I've had in a while. The service was spot on, with staff checking in on us quite often. The speed of service was unbelievable, took about 5 minutes for our starters, and 10 minutes for mains. The only complaint I would have is the noise, it was a bit noisy on the table we were initially seated on but later moved to a quieter location, which was much better. All in all definitely one to try for the food and quality and speed of service.

This place has the best pasta I ever had which is “PACCHERI CACIO PEPE PORCINI”. Other Italian dishes were amazing as well. Calzone was also amazing and their thin spicy fries is a must have.

Visited on a Monday night, so relatively quiet, was recommended to eat here by a friend. Had a prawn starter which was ok but the Risotto which was amazing - highly recommended this dish, was really well cooked. Garlic Bread was a hugh portion more than enough for two people. Overall would visit again when I back in Glasgow

Can I give 6 stars? We had booked in advance several tables to celebrate our family event with our friends and fmaily. Everything was prepared when we arrived, food and drinks were very delicious (as always), service is above and beyond, the team is very friendly and helpful. We loved every minute being there. All guests said they were very happy with their dishes (they selected whatever they fancied)! Prices are very fair! I love this restaurant very much and will be back for sure.

Treated my brother/sister in law/husband to a birthday lunch here on 22nd April. We haven't visited for quite a while so was looking forward to our visit. The place was not too busy initially but soon it was filling up with patrons which just goes to show that it is still very popular. The service is always good as there is always plenty of staff. Started with drinks as they always let you have plenty of time to decide over the menu. The starters were varied and different between us, some definitely Italian and some not.. Sticky chicken wings (x4), usual bruschetta pomodoro (toast was burnt), deep fried garlic mushrooms & garlic Mayo (?double breadcrumb coating?), and jalapeño poppers & obligatory garlic mayo (husband said they weren't very spicy at all) which also had so much breadcrumb coating that I initially thought that they were croquettes. The pasta (x2) Del Femio, penne with italian sausage and tomato sauce looked good and plentiful as did the pasta polpette, long spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce. The chicken burger with cheese looked out of place in an Italian restaurant and the extremely skinny fries looked soggy to me. My chicken escalope looked good but was dry and tough (? cooked once then reheated) but the penne in tomato sauce was fine and plenty of it. The service during the meal was good but not hovering too much. The dessert was a required treat as we were celebrating a birthday after all but not everyone had one as the portions are generous. A strawberry mess (not Eton), and the Tiramisu (of course) followed, the gentlemen abstained. On the whole I would return as the value, atmosphere and service were good and to try something else from the menu meal wise. The bill was around £114 for 2 pints lager, 2 soft drinks. 4 starters and mains and 2 desserts which was quite reasonable.

I've been here a few times for lunch with work colleagues It's a great place for lunch as service is efficient There is a fab lunch menu with up to 3 course options for under £20 We usually go for 1 course and come in at less than £15 a head with drinks I had the soup and sandwich option on this visit which was just perfect for lunch There's 2 soup options and 3 sandwich options Great value and very tasty

We turned up on Tuesday night and managed to get a table. The food was fantastic, amazing variety of food to choice from. Drinks were reasonable priced for Glasgow city area. We had the option to spit pasta and pizza which was good option for sharers. The scosse carbonara was surprising but incredible twist on a Italian classic which I whole heartly recommend. The chocolate founde for two was a fantastic way to end the night. Only issue we had was the tables were very close together and we had a party of ten next to us so getting bumped by bags and passer by trying to get in between the tables.

The waiters are very nice, that’s what stood out to me, we were greeted by the manager, had a nice conversation with the waiters as well, the bathrooms are nice, the tables are sturdy and the scenery of the restaurant is amazing, the food is super cheap as well, and very very nice it came to us VERY FAST and I would give the food 10/10 absolutely amazing and left me very happy, I will definitely come here again 💓

Popped in here before heading to a match in Glasgow after been let down by a nearby Italian restaurant. What a stroke of luck that was. We had one Coeliac in our group and an extensive gluten free menu was provided. Entire group thoroughly enjoyed our meal and wine. Staff exceptionally helpful. We will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Quick service, good range of food which was excellent. Was quite busy but not too noisy and never felt rushed. The group was 12 people , most had different courses and everyone left happy. Definitely worth considering.

Brilliant restaurant. From start to finish, the service was 1st class. Nothing was a problem. My wife and I asked if we could sit at a table outside with our drinks after finishing our meal and they accommodated our request without any issue. Food is on a different level. Very authentic Italian restaurant. Highly recommend. 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟
