Lunch today with my friend and what a delicious treat. Unlike other recent reviewers we were warmly greeted and courteously served by well trained staff. The food, superb and absolutely delicious, obviously prepared by skilled chefs. For starters we both had crispy egg on Stornoway black pudding. Crispy egg you ask, I was the same but, I'm not saying, but it was very good, try it you'll not be disappointed. My friend had fish of the day, which in this instance was salmon, which she said was delicious while I settled on lamb loin served on lentils with a harissa sauce, again delicious. We finished with sticky toffee pudding and banana cake both served with vanilla ice cream
Sunday was an absolute delight with my partner! The experience was beyond wonderful. The waiter was very accommodating, a friendly and warm demeanor. The restaurant's ambiance struck the perfect balance between classy sophistication and a laid-back, relaxing vibe. Food and drinks - they were simply amazing, I wholeheartedly recommend this place with a resounding 100% and can't wait to return!
Location on the first floor of the western club Glasgow.
beautiful interior, low lighting and patterned carpet to the first floor.
The restaurant design is chic, modern.
Good value 2/3 course meal with a discount if member of the western club.
The heritage tomato with goat cheese on puff pastry was excellent.
The coley with clams and sauce was also excellent. Coley was crispy on the outside and just done on the inside. Nice greens too.
Pinot noir was good.
Service attentive.
The food was really tasty. Starters ares a little bit tinny but mains are great. The duck with foi is surprisingly great and the risotto so delicious. I didnt try the wellington, but my mate said that it was amazing!
The 2 course lunch was unbelievably good, chicken was well seasoned and cooked to perfection and the steak was well seared and not overcooked at all. Well worth the money!
A posh corner for thoughtful contemporary dishes with Scottish ingredients.
Olives are beautifully marinated, zingy and appetizing. “The most amazing olives I’ve had in my life,” to quote my mom.
Salmon Cornets are lovely, a good combination of savory and sweet flavors, melting and crunchy textures.
Starters aren’t much larger than appetizers. Scallops are nicely grilled, plump and juicy, and goes well with the cauliflower purée and nduja butter. Charred Zucchini comes with delightful quinoa crisps and sesame sauce.
Halibut is seared to have a crispy top. The flesh is a little dry, but the chestnut and celeriac purée is enjoyable.
Duck breast is a little tough to chew. Duck confit is awesome. The seasoning is nice.
Pork is quite tender and tastes good with the red wine sauce. Potato terrine is crispy
Shaved cauliflower is interesting with a nice balance of sweet, savory and sour flavors. Fine beans come with toasted almond.
The service is friendly, attentive, without being intrusive.
Impeccable service and a fabulous dining experience. I'd highly recommend.
Perfect service. Second time here, food even better than last time.
Quirky combinations on the menu.
Expensive.
Beef wellington takes a while to prepare but if you order it Medium it's worth the wait.
Venison ordered 'pink' and it was lovely.
Brown crab arancini tasted more like a potato croquette.
Olives were dusted with salt flakes and they were delicious!
Service was slow to start, we arrived on time but were told to sit in the bar. Waited 15 minutes for our table and no-one came to take our drinks order.
First course arrived and we weren't given plates however one of the girls noticed and got them for us quickly. From then on the service picked up.
Toilets were a disappointment... Cabinet doors hanging off, toilet seats hanging off. Definitely needs an uplift.
Overall a calm atmosphere with lovely food however very expensive.
Had a fabulous afternoon. Food was gorgeous, great wine list. My Aunt and Uncle were impressed, been going on about bringing them here for ages.
Will defo be back.
Excellent classy atmosphere with great food and extraordinary service
Booked a special meal for 14 people to celebrate my wedding. From start to finish the team were incredible. They made my guests and I feel so special. The restaurant bar is beautiful. Very high end, extremely luxurious. The food is excellent. The service is impeccable. I cannot recommend this place enough. For a romantic date, or for a larger event… this place has everything. Wonderful staff, stunning venue, mind blowing food and outstanding attention to detail. Possibly the best restaurant in the city centre. Definitely top 5
We had an excellent beef wellington here! It takes quite a while and is really huge! The restaurant is on the first floor and has a nice atmosphere. The staff is very nice!
This place is located at the level 1 of the building - I almost skipped through because it looked like it was close from the outside. Glad I managed to ring the bell and got inside.
Probably the best beef wellington I have ever had. The soup of the day and the fillet sea bass was fantastic too. Unfortunately, dessert was not as exceptional. Service was top notch. It is pricey but I bet you can expect that from such a central, ideal location. Would recommend if you are planning for a proper restaurant experience while in town.
A sophisticated modern Scottish restaurant, perfect for special occasions.
Went for lunch with friends after a recommendation and was not disappointed. Great food, wine, and service. We weren't rushed even though it's Christmas week and busy.
One of the best meal we had in UK. We dined during one of the quieter evening which we enjoyed very much. Staff was attentive. Food was outstanding especially the lamb which was packed with umami.

One of the top steak house I’ve been to in Glasgow. Quiet & elegant atmosphere and friendly server.
The citrus flavour of the soup was very pronounced and the pine nuts were fragrant.
I ordered a blue steak, the meat was soft and tender without much blood. They made the fat very well, for a fact it even reminded me of eating foie gras.
I tried red wine sauce this time, and it’s much more refreshing than the greasy pepper/seaweed/mushroom sauce I had before. The dark pile of mushroom & ketchup sauce actually tasted ok but the shape was a bit unpalatable.
My first meal in Scotland and I was lucky. My wife suggested this restaurant and we were intrigued by the Beef Wellington. Since it takes about an hour to prepare, we went with the baked warm blue cheesecake. It is hard to describe as it was a whole story of flavors. This already gave us a hint of what to expect. The beef was big, it was tender, and it was excellent. We skipped dessert because we were full and didn't want to overeat after eating something so delicious.
