We've been on vacation in Scotland for 10 days and while we've had some great meals, this one topped them all!! The Cullen Skink, to quote my Glaswegian born spouse was 'the best I've ever had'. The fish & chips and the sirloin with peppercorn sauce were fantastic. The sticky toffee pudding was superb! The wine list is good. The cocktails were lovely - try the Orange Chocolate Espresso Martini! The service was outstanding - thank you Grier!
Staff was very nice and attentive!
Food: The scallops were super fresh and delicious! The goat cheese salad was also quite nice. The lambo shank wasn’t that great - the dried out broccoli was nice though. The best was the chestnut risotto and the sticky toffee pudding. Those two dishes I’d recommend in a heartbeat!
We booked here a couple of days prior to our visit & I'm pleased we did. A very busy popular restaurant. Our service from entry was fantastic, staff are very attentive, friendly & polite. The food arrived quickly & each course was beautifully presented. The starters & mains tasted as good as they looked, absolutely delicious. My partner had the sticky toffee pudding & she said it was pretty good, I had the tiramisu & unfortunately it wasn't the best, don't get me wrong it wasn't awful, it was just 'okay' & after such a lovely meal just felt a little deflated or heavy & flat to finish. We would definitely return here when in the area again as overall the food & service was very good.
One of my absolute favourite places to eat in Glasgow. The seafood is the best seafood I've ever had in the UK. Perfectly cooked and seasoned - so fresh! Their mocktails are also delicious 😊
Can high recommend this place; great atmosphere, great food and great service.
It’s great to taste the real Scottish food. I’ve been seen the sheep all the way to Scotland, and finally tasted here. The haggis is a bit different from my imagination, less inside taste. The lamb shank is really nice.
Me and my family had a wonderful evening here celebrating my graduation! The goats cheese crostini starter was so good and the steak was phenomenal ☺️ Everyone who served us was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Loved it!
Lovely friendly staff. Amazing food. Best meal I've had in a long time. I'm so happy I came. We will be back when next in Glasgow!!!
We had a gorgeous dîner tonight with the very affordable market 3 courses menu. Food was fresh, flavorful and simple, like we love it. We tried scottish dishes and loved them. Our kids loved their food too. The staff was extremely friendly and very good with little ones. We will be back!
Cozy space, lovely dishes at affordable prices. If there was something that I had to pick on, it’d be that there’s too much carbs but that could just be my choices. The three course meal will set you back at 22.95 pounds, super reasonable. Service was a little slow maybe cos of where I was sat at but the food was lovely - had the Cullen skink, seafood stew and sticky toffee pudding. All were delicious.
I dropped in for lunch on the search for a hearty local meal and the Lamb Shank that I ordered was insane.
It was an immediate “melting” moment of comfort food at first bite. I’m surprised it’s not illegal for being too good. And no, I’m not being paid to say that. I just want to give props where they’re due.
The waitresses are nice as well.
