I hesitated to do this review because you can tell this is really a bar for locals and it would be a shame to have it overrun with tourists, but I figured it’s far enough out of the way to have most visitors leave it alone. Simply put, it’s the best ale we’ve had in Glasgow. It’s a straightforward neighborhood bar. Loved it, and then some, thank you for making us welcome!
Brilliant place - good grub, great beer selection and loads of whisky - what more do you need? There's also a beer garden out back as well.
Our hotel recommended the restaurant and we were very happy. We all enjoyed our meals. I recommend the "steak pie", it was a bit different as it wasn't cooked inside a pastry but I think I preferred it this way. Very tasty. Beers were good and tons of Whisky to choose from. It was busy and bustling and have a good vibe. We were lucky enough to have a table but people were waiting for it when we were done. I recommend the restaurant and will be back.
Lovely multi award winning! Staff very friendly & welcoming. Lovely traditional Scottish pub, good food and sells the infamous Macallan 72 year old whisky... not that I'd ever be able to afford a dram.
One of the best collections of single malts I've ever seen. This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. A must visit in Glasgow whether you want to to get your hands on a rare/sold out single malt, or even a chilled beer! Their gin collection isn't bad either.
Just wish you could hear the classic rock music videos that were playing on the TV.
Overall a great place I'd love to go back to.
One of the best pubs I've been in for ages. Brought my mom in here while on vacation, her first time in a pub. She loved it. Great food and beer selection, super nice staff, cozy atmosphere with very comfy armchairs and good ambiance. Incomprehensibly delicious butter chicken. 10/10 If I lived here I'd be a regular.
Incredible pub with top beers and whisky, tasty food and great staff which made the visit superb. Love that they have cask beers and craft along with your regulars. A proper gem in Glasgow
