My husband and I ate at Bothy Restaurant on our first night in Scotland. Delicious food and great service! The ambiance was cozy and charming as well.
Have been in here plenty of times over the years. Waiters in kilts! Food is good as well but the portions can be a little small. This is one of the places that most people in Glasgow "have" to go at least once
Bothy for president!. The Bothy is too good too be true! The food is creative and gorgeous. The wine list is properly ideated. The service is careful but not intrusive. The place is warm and cosy.

Where's the nearest chippy?. Gorgeous food, but tiny, nouvelle cuisine type portions. We had to go for a fish supper afterwards.
Perth Bothy. Wasaway for the weekend and came across Perth bothy. Well worth a visit. Similiar menu's, although no burgers, but really spacious restaurant in keeping with traditional bothy look. great value, but definately book as it is that busy. Say's it all really
I feel this is a place that rests on their laurels and could use some rejuvenation. The food mains were good, but somewhat salty on the sides and veg. The service was definitely lacking in promptness. Our mains came out nearly 1.5h after arriving (we had starters).
Really friendly staff, really fancy and tasty food. All arrived quickly. Really nice renovation since was last here. Definitely recommend. Is a little pricey but it’s definitely worth it as a treat as it reflects in the food and decor.
I was delighted to be invited out for dinner on a bank holiday Monday via a terrific Aunty. We were entertaining a lovely couple visiting from America. The service was excellent and staff are friendly and attentive. We all had starters and mains , a few drinks and some deserts. The food is delicious with a lot of care and attention to details, presentation and taste ranges. Nothing can be faulted. As this was a treat I don’t know how much the bill was but I am sure it was eye watering as this is definitely a fine dining experience.
Tried the 2 course meal for £20/pax, food was really good, especially the rissotto. Got to try the toffee pudding dessert! Service was abut slower than expected due to an going private party.
Such a cool place. The food was amazing, the staff pleasant and professional. Definitely worth a stop or a repeat visit.
Imagine dining at your rich, slightly eccentric rich aunts estate house, with some eclectic items thrown in, a world class chef on staff and a bar that makes the best Gin & Tonic you have had. Yep, that’s Bothy in Glasgow. Brightly wallpapered, with a hodge podge of chairs at the tables. It’s comfortable with a slightly formal air. The menu is a mix of classics and some new creations. The Goat Cheese starter was excellent and the Loin of wild deer was perfect. We both enjoyed a perfect G&T and their wine list offered a number of options to suit any taste. Be sure to look at the private room upstairs and be prepare for the wallpaper in the restroom. This was one of our top dining experiences on the trip and we would certainly come back again.
A great restaurant with classic British and Scottish dishes. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, fast, polite and friendly. I had the Haggis for starter and lamb roast for main and apple tart for dessert.
What's not to like about the Bothy! Food was of good quantity and quality, served by helpful and friendly staff. It is a Glasgow must visit place. If you are travelling from the city and don't have a car then consider the Glasgow underground. The restaurant is almost across the road from Hillhead Station.
Went there recently for a wedding, using the events room upstairs. Food was everything I had been told before, particularly the chicken main and chocolate mouse dessert stood out.
Staff couldn't do enough to help and accommodate the wedding party.
Beautiful decoration and atmosphere inside, with a lovely gravelled area outside to take in the sunshine.

We popped into The Bothy for a drink as we had heard great things.
The decor and atmosphere were fantastic, and we were disappointed with ourselves for not coming for lunch here as all the food we saw going out looked incredible.
We were lucky enough to have some sunshine, so we sat in the courtyard.
I was driving, so I had a very nice non alcoholic cocktail, which I would order again.
I am going to come back and try the Sunday lunch and also would like to have brunch here when the girls visit.
I'm just home from being in here with my work colleagues . A girly catch-up with 7 ladies that lunch. Service was impeccable, and the food was excellent . Drinks selection was good for wine, cocktails, and soft drinks. The atmosphere was lovely and chilled. Would highly recommend .
One of the best meals we’ve had in Scotland. Everything was delicious (the goat cheese Panna cotta was out of this world). Service was outstanding and the decor is magical. Highly recommended for a romantic place, family dinner/lunch and special events. Again thanks for the amazing staff

Came here on a whim and ended up with one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had! The haggis appetizer was delicious, the service was amazing, and portion sizes were huge :)

Went there for our anniversary. First nice Scottish restaurant we have been to since moving here in June. The food was good, the service could have been a bit better and attentive . Overall a great experience, may be slightly on the expensive side with around £40 for the steak . Worth a visit for special occasion.
Firstly, it was a really nice temperature in there, nice and cosy. The welcome was lovely and kind. The food was delicious.. some could consider it a little pricey but I think it was worthwhile. The decor is inviting and picture worthy. The staff is attentive and genuine and knowledgeable about the menu, even made me a hot toddy. Would recommend it and would happily go again.
Very authentic, great atmosphere, amazing staffs 10 out of 10!! We only ordered small plates that day but loved every bite. Food was nicely presented and staff were very much helpful. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice scottish restaurant.
Amazing! The food was delicious, aswell were the drinks. The whole ambiance of this restaurant really makes it amazing. It feels very homey and warm. I sat here for almost 3 hours and it did not feel like it. I would highly recommend coming here!
