Great little spot to escape into in the midst of the city’s hustle and bustle. It’s a popular cafe with locals and tourists alike, so each of the days we went it was busy, but even if you have to wait for a table it’s not more than a few minutes as they keep it moving. There’s also an option for takeaway as well. :) 🍲Soups: We tried the cream of mushroom, Moroccan chicken, and sweet potato with tomato base. All were excellent alongside the sourdough bread. ✨Scones: Freshly made and delicious. Sultana scone was excellent- while the cranberry orange was also great BotW that’s it’s made with candied orange so it can be a wee bit sweet if that’s not your thing. Served with clotted cream & jam upon request. 👌🏻 ☀️Service: All staff are very friendly even at the busiest of times and do their best to help everyone and serve in an efficient and timely manner. Oftentimes they will even stop by the table and chat with you when checking to make sure you’re satisfied with everything. This was the cheapest and most delicious spot we tried in Glasgow- extremely affordable with generous portions. (I left stuffed each time after a big bowl of soup and a scone). Wonderful food, service, and helping those in need. It’s a wonderful lunch spot and worth a visit if you’re nearby. :)

The soups were EXCELLENT. Father had the chicken Moroccan with sourdough bread while I had sweet potato & butternut squash. Both arrived hot with great depth and flavours. Able to tell these were fresh and homemade. The scone I had was very good but honestly disappointing there’s no option to enjoy them warm? Not nearly as enjoyable cold..but still very delicious. :) Clotted cream & tiptree strawberry jam was excellent with it. 🌟Overall very busy place during lunch rush (bit lively as it’s quite popular) but so worth going to for good feel good fresh food. 🍲

Great place to pop in for coffee or lunch. Lovely natural light and cheery staff. Service was a little slow when I visited last week but they were quite busy...early lunch time. Will I go again...YES 😊

Lovely bright, clean coffee house in the centre of Glasgow. Very friendly staff. Good choice of soups and cakes/scones. Worth visiting if you only require a quick tasty "pit-stop". Will be back.

Really impressed by this cafe with a conscience in Glasgow. There isn't a large menu but the food was excellent quality - soups were hearty and full of flavour, the scones divine. A sense of peace in the space. Had 3 quality conversations while there. The opportunity to "pay forward" a meal/s for others displays their caring heart at the centre of their DNA. I wish I could volunteer there!

Really neat dining experience in the heart of downtown Glasgow. The restaurant is accessible through the side entrance of the church that houses it, and boasts a lot of seating comfortably spread out amongst the dining room area (the church's nave). The menu features primarily soups with bread, scones and a number of other desserts, as well as coffee, too. I ordered a scone with cream, and my friend ordered tea as well as a scone. The service here was amazing and quite quick, with friendly staff members, and my scone was great (vanilla scone). My friend's scone was also good (pumpkin, sunflower scone), but it was not nearly as good as the one I ordered, and the tea was also pretty decent. Additionally, I should point out that the cream was a very good move, as it was excellent, and that the scones come with their own little jar of jelly, too, which is very good and tastes fresh. Other nice things included an accessible restroom at the back of the church, and the interior feeling warm yet also nice and airy. The small complaints that I do have are that the restaurant does not have menus that they pass out to you, and you need to stand near the entrance to look over the menu and order, which can be a problem when people are entering the restaurant or when it becomes busier. Other than that, a great experience (plus they have strong wifi with a code on the menu at the front!)

Simply delicious scones, perfect taste and texture. Coffee wasn't the best, but definitely worth a visit for the scones.

Church run cafe, full when we arrived. Bakery is great, scones, cakes, tea, coffee, just what you need after an enforced tramp round the shops on a Saturday afternoon!

Perfectly enjoyable short visit to the Wild Olive Tree. Good solid homemade fare and excellent value. Calm and relaxed surroundings and nice personal service. Great place to get out of the hustle and bustle of Buchanan Street.
