This place is superb. The team running this place really know what they are doing. The young guys running the place are young and hungry entrepreneurs and the result of their work is fantastic. They know their stuff and they helped me find the perfect dinner for me. Super flavorful and tasty and the nan was melt in your mouth perfect. I went here on a whim and will be back soon.
Welcomed in by the owner. Had a brilliant meal in lovely surroundings all at a good price. Food was superb. I'd recommend The Pedlar and Spice to anyone who loves a curry. Taqi also said he's starting a breakfast menu!
Amazing. Food was great. Relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly owner
Absolutely amazing food and hospitality!
Be patient, the food is more than worth the wait.
Today, more than one year later,w find ourselves browsing through the menu, trying to find recipes of the amazing curry dishes we had in the pedlar and spice. Best Indian cuisine I ever had. Best regards from Germany, bless!
Possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had, and the hospitality was spectacular. Called in an order late, when I’d just gotten in town. Walked in and was greeted by the owner who sat and talked with me a my wife while our food was being prepared. He gave us some great suggestions of places to visit. The environment was welcoming and relaxed. The food was amazing and well priced. If I had been in town longer I would’ve eaten there again. Next time I’m in Glasgow I will make it my first stop.
Delivering fully on the promise of being wet and cold in October, the night of my first visit to Pedlar appeared no different than any other on Scotland. Just before closing we walked in and were welcomed like family by the owner. I wish I could remember his name, but you'll know him by the giant smile that cannot be hidden behind the great beard! The food was simply amazing and second to only the service.
I couldn't even tell you what we ordered out side of the soft and perfect Naan. Unfortunately, that was my last night in country, but this restaurant will be my first stop when I get the chance to come back. 5 stars is absolutely warranted and the owner and service are truly wonderful. I cannot recommend this highly enough if you enjoy good company and amazing food.
Good food and a very hospitable host. Definitely recommend to people visiting the area
Fabulous!! My boyfriend and I ate here on our first night in Glasgow. The owner is absolutely lovely and very personable. He helped us craft the perfect meal based on our personal preferences. We can’t wait to visit again soon!
This was my wife and I’s first meal out in Glasgow and it did not disappoint. The owner himself took the time to walk us through the menu and offer suggestions as well as explanations. I would recommend this place to those looking for a date night as well as a time before going the theater. Great food and great service. Also, pretty great price.

A great little gem place with amazing food. The place looks a bit tired but glad to hear from the owner that he has great plans to make some changes and updates in the coming months. This didn't bother us as the food was superb and the service was outstanding. Looking forward to going back on my next visit.
There are not enough words of praise for this place. The food was incredible! I had a paneer dish, which is so hard to do well. It was the best I've ever had from a restaurant. The garlic naan was perfect. I wish I could eat it every day. And the owner is one of the kindest and most personable people I've met. He was charming and humble, with a passion for hospitality and making people feel at home.
Saw this place while passing on the motorway and thought 'that looks new I'll need to try it out'. Went along on a Friday night and got a table no problem. Got talking to the owner and it turns out it has been open for a year. Deserves to be busier than it is as the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Can't fault it at all. If you are looking for a nice restaurant you really should check out The pedlar and spice. Recommended!
Back in Glasgow first time in 5 years and disappointment that some old stomping grounds were not around turned to elation when we found the Pedlar and Spice. Best Indian food we have both had anywhere patia and korma with succulent chunks of lamb and lots of it. Partner is Spanish and had the Punjabi mussels to start with and said they were the best mussels they have had in the UK. Great atmosphere and the owner is a very welcoming and friendly chap.
Got to be one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever encountered.
Menu selection is vast. Food is so tasty and a lovely atmosphere in the place.
The biggest naan breads I've ever seen.
Toilets downstairs are a little scary. Don't let this put you off though
Excellent food!! Undeniably the best Indian food I have had lately. Very pleasant owner, who entertainted us even when it was about time to close and leave for the day. Even more impressive was the fact that his head cook was on leave and he took it upon himself to prepare the food for us.
Really delicious food. We tried a couple Punjabi chef specials. The guy working there was very friendly and mentioned they are in the middle of some remodeling. They plan to update decor as well as change the restaurant sign name to something trendier but it will be the same restaurant.
Had a lovely meal at this restaurant. The food is fantastic, the staff were very charming. This place has been refurbed and it's looking great. Had a great night and will definitely be back. Thank you!
Really enjoyable meal, super tasty and oozing with flavour. I would definitely recommend this indian restaurant for the food and portion size. I left full and happy with the service. Will visit again next time in Glasgow.
Excellent food, been here on and off for years - including the one in Ibrox before they opened here. Always friendly, genuine service. A few more pennies that other Indian restaurants I frequent but still come here time to time.
