This is a special place! We had an amazing dining experience in beautiful atmosphere. All our dishes were well-presented and excellent in taste. The service is attentive and knowledgable. Can highly recommend. It's a good idea to book a table.
Would endorse this restaurant if you really want a taste of Scotland. Quaint restaurant in the middle of nowhere but when you walk in, the ambience is fantastic. Starters are great and the mains and deserts were excellent. Lovely staff, giving you ample time to chose.
Love it. Amazing little place. Menu is cheap (3 courses &12.95 or 3 courses and half bottle of wine, £17.95). Food was lovely and staff attentive. I was impressed by the basket of different freshly baked bread that was brought round to our table 3 times during the meal. It was a lovely little extra.
Nice. I like it in here. The staff are perfect, attentive and well mannered however we dined early and it was very quiet, you had to whisper.
The food was fine, not packed full of flavour but nice and I believe it was fresh.
Exellent reasturant, great food, lovely snug comfartable reasturant, waitresses are great, efficient and friendly .
Impeccable seafood and fresh Scottish ingredients meet in this discrete, classy restaurant. Classic French dishes done well, with attentive service and an atmosphere I wanted to linger in all afternoon.
Heavenly food with excellent service. The vocal jazz background music was relaxing too, we could have quite easily have stayed for the full day. With full bellies and happy hearts we headed homeward.
For three courses each and coffee inc a glass of wine each, the cost was £47. Special mention for the pesto bread, fluffy and flavoursome and has inspired us to make our own!
The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing.
One of the best culinary creatives in the city and great staff. This wee gem is part of Glasgow's heritage and deserves every accolade going. Hx
Quaint, cozy, delicious, with attentive service. Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery lives up to it's hype. I highly recommend the scallops, duck, and rainbow trout. Not sure about the chocolate-beetroot-goat cheese cake though. Make a reso as it is quite busy.
Even with the latest restrictions TFL is a treat.
Great staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Not cheap but sometimes it's nice to push the boat out. Manager is a nice guy too.

Upscale Scottish, and good stuff at that.
So yeah, it's upscale Scottish dining. Which separates itself from the more hipster-y fare available further west on Argyle mainly by the white-linen on the tables, the muted/wood decor, and the silver-ware.
Mind you, the food is nothing to laugh at - it is all excellently done, carefully plated, and the flavors are designed to complement or contrast appropriately. Pretty much everything is good, if not *very* good - and there is plenty of wine available to go with this.
About my only issue with the place is that it really isn't my cup of tea - I prefer a more casual place, but hey, that's just me.
We love seafood and they did an excellent job on every fish dishes we ordered.
Very recommended!
Two fat ladies at the Buttery is very popular restaurants in Scotland and it lived up very well to its reputation!
First time trying local food is kind of different but tasting the upscale Glaswegian here is splendid!
If you’re looking for some cool place to chill with a distinguished tasty dishes, this is a place to be!
The place is well decorated. Good atmosphere with the relaxed old-school feel of a by-gone era.
It’s usually busy and fully booked, so it’s a good idea to plan your trip and reserve a table in advance.
Parking is available. :)
Love that place. Will be definitely going back. Lovely atmosphere, great customer service, the food tasted great and looks exquisite. We went for Christmas lunch, amazing, amazing, amazing.
Would recommend it .
O m g. We came here on our first night in Glasgow and wanted to come back every night thereafter! We LOVED this place. It is so homely and the staff are fantastic. Don't get me started on the FOOD! AMAZING! They also don't leave anyone out with full, separate vegetarian and vegan menus. The extra festive menu was lovely. We ate ourselves absolutely silly and were happy about it. Zero regrets. Already can't wait to come back!
