How can I rave more about The Fish People, I had dinner recently and was blown away, the presentation of the food was just gorgeous, and everything tasted so so wonderful. Baked oysters, fish stew, baked sea bass, and clava brie dessert, I wish I would have been able to try more!
I am so glad that we found this restaurant, especially as it seems so seldom known about. It is now on the list of where to take any Inverness lodgers that appear at my door – if they are fish lovers.
To start I had a special from the blackboard – shell on crevettes, garlic, thyme and blackbean butter. This was my favourite dish of the night.
The other starter was shrimp cocktail with puy lentils, tarragon and lime.
I then had baked fillet of grey sole with caper and dill creme fraiche and chips.
I suspect the wonderfully crispy chips were triple cooked.
There was a heroic plate of hand dived barra scallops with apple salad, honey, ginger and lime.
We went for ice-cream desserts looking for something lighter but we got some special desserts indeed.
The toasted coconut ice-cream with roast pineapple, mango and lime was like a caribbean dessert cocktail.
Thorntonhall cream ice-cream with puff candy and bitter chocolate sauce was the perfect end to my meal.
What a wonderful place The Fish People Cafe is – it makes it into my top 5 favourite Glasgow restaurants.
Visited here for the first time on Sat 3rd Nov and was well impressed .... all 3 courses were delicious 👌 Definitely be back
Loved this restaurant ! You do have to be a Fish lover though. Whilst I normally would have Cullen Skunk this time I had the smoked haddock and pea soup which was excellent. Will definitely be back on another visit to Glasgow.

Great cosy wee place. Strange location but that adds to the novelty. Food was tasty and great service.
Saw this place on trip advisor. Went tonight and can honestly say it is 10/10. I’ve had many great meals in Glasgow but usually there’s something that doesn’t stack up. Maybe the desert isn’t top notch or the starter is a bit non descript. The food here is simple and perfect from start to end, the service professional, and the decor simple and elegant. One of the few places we’ll definitely revisit.
Incredible food. We had a party of 10, which included 5 scallop dishes cooked to perfection. Excellent wine menu and a brilliant dessert wine selection. I cannot recommend this highly enough, as even the sides (warm cannage slaw with bacon) were delicious.
We've been going here for years now and always consistantly excellent. One of our favourite restaurants. Graham and the gang are fabulous hosts. After a fantastic fish meal, ask about the dessert wines, there's a great selection to finish things off.

This place is always excellent. I have been several times and every meal has been perfectly cooked with delicious flavours. The food is consistently fresh and wholesome and is well worth the moderately expensive bill.
Beautiful little intimate restaurant tucked out of the way in a corner. Interior decor is wonderful, the staff seemed lovely, and the food was to die for. Incredibly fresh fish and very well presented. Definitely would recommend for fish and seafood lovers!
