Visited for farthers day . Felt compelled to write a review the food was delicious and quick service . Starters - the chicken livers were very tasty and a good size portion . For main we had Sunday roast lamb which was cooked perfect . The Seabass with noodles was light and tasty . We didn't manage deserts but a great selection . Put this on your place to visit . Lovely atmosphere

Stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a wedding, we were met by lovely friendly staff who showed us up to our room which was lovely and clean with a large ensuite bathroom with his and hers basins a free standing bath and large shower which looked brand new and nicely decorated. Great choice at breakfast too. Would highly recommend

We had a great night at our local enjoying the wine tasting night. What a treat. The food was amazing, as was the service, and indeed the wine. I would HIGHLY recommend the White bull for their entertainment evenings as well as their food menus and drinks. It is wonderful to see this pub being turned back to the truly great pub it is. Well done all. What a great team.

We have travelled from Liverpool and was able to get a last minute table. Absolutely stunning food. The biggest credit to this place though, is the staff - friendly, attentive and polite. Massive shout out to the lad in the blue shirt, we think he was the manager. Nice to see him get stuck in with the rest of the staff running a tightly run ship ensuring us table guests had our food and drinks delivered promptly. He communicated well with his staff - nice to see a team work so well without front of house staff getting shouted at which we have seen many of times. They were all a credit to this place; sometimes we get judged by our accent but honestly we felt at home and well looked after. Give these guys a raise! Side note - That sticky toffee pudding was what actual dreams are made of.

We had a really nice Sunday lunch. I had beef my wife had chicken. Both perfectly cooked. It came with huge Yorkshire puddings roast and mash potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, parsnips, stem brocoli, curly kale and green beans. Nice desserts and friendly efficient service. A bit pricey but well worth it.

We stopped for a meal and decided to spend several days there. If you have a camper, you can stay for free if you buy a meal. The food alone is worth it. Miles and the staff were very friendly and helpful. By supplying this facility, we were able to explore the area and spend money in the town knowing we could return to a secure parking spot and a great meal.

My wife and I were staying nearby last weekend and came across The White Bull when travelling back to our accommodation. We had our dog with us so we asked if it was ok to bring her in. Without hesitation they said yes, found us a table and greeted us very warmly. The service was excellent by every member of the team and the food was incredible! I can't recommend The White Bull highly enough. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. See you next time :-) Stuart, Kate & Binky

We visited this evening for their first night of serving food, we weren’t disappointed. The food both starters and mains were absolutely delicious and my husband and I left having I had a good meal. The menu is a starter menu but it offered a good selection. The food was beautifully presented and not overwhelming in portion size. Staff were attentive and helpful. I’d recommend to locals and visitors.

Dropped in for an evening dinner to check out the food. What a difference since the change of ownership. The food was really nice, well presented and tasted lovely. The steak and ale pie was filled with steak and the portions were large. The atmosphere was relaxing. Will return again.

Miles was super helpful with sorting us out a room and ensuring we were comfortable. It was less than a week of reopening and they had done so much work to have the place ready. Really enjoyed our stay, was exactly what we needed. The bar had a great atmosphere and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here if you need a quick stop over and somewhere to unwind. Great service, great experience. Thanks again!

Called in for some lunch and didn't know what to expect really, it looked like a town pub from the outside. It was brilliant. The food was lovely, reasonably priced (not cheap but felt well worth what we got) and the guy serving couldn't have been more hospitable. We had a lovely lunch and ended up staying for deserts and sole drinks which wasn't planned. It was very well presented inside, if anything we felt a little underdressed in casual clothes on the way back from the swimming pool - not that we were made to feel it in any way. There is a car park behind the pub which was very convenient. Plenty of food and drink options for us and the kids and it was served, presented and tasted great. It felt like a lot of effort was put into the food preparation and presentation, which mirrored the general feeling of the pub based on the gentleman running the bar and restaurant area and the way the area generally felt. Definitely one to visit if you fancy a nice meal out or pelasant place to grab some drinks and you're in the area. We would definitely go again.

Went this evening for a meal superb food and service small menu ment everything is cooked to order and fresh very impressed. Service is excellent and it was great to see family's and pets welcome too. Food prices are on Average £6/8 for a starter and £15/20 for a main a little more for steak but we'll worth it. Lovely to see locals in wellies (farmers) in for a pint 👍 Defo be back May even try a room for the night B&B...Thank you The McCanns xxx
