Great food; a choice of well kept, reasonably priced ales including a guest and staff who are all very welcoming. A locals' boozer owned by a national brewery (Greene King) is a rarity. I've had a meal here several times and overall the meals are well proportioned, tasty and good value for money. Staff are friendly and pleasant and on my recent visit bent over backward to accommodate our group of 16 people with various dietary requirements even when they'd had staffing difficultie
The staff are great here particularly Matt and Ollie the beers always good and the burgers are great. Excellent service from a brilliant local pub, The quiz on Thursdays is a must too! and dog friendly to boot!
Returned recently and had a wonderful Sunday Lunch. A very much a happy family pub with dog friendly attitude. Sunday lunch was very good along with a good bottle of chilled Californian zinfadel wine. Good selection of beer and drinks with friendly staff. Large garden with plenty of parking. I like

Great pub , this pic is gammon eggs and chips , trust me there's a big juicy gammon steak under those eggs .dog friendly, food is always pretty good, excellent choice of beers , and a nice big beer garden, what's not to like ?
Went there Saturday for a meal staff we very friendly the meal was fantastic we had signituare fish and chips. Hunters chicken. Steak and ale pie and scampi, and it was all very well cooked, very tasty, and great value for money. we will be going back highly recommended 👌
This was our first visit to the Flying Saucer, had a lovely meal, staff so friendly and Chef had a chat with us, will definitely be back.
It's been a very long time since I have been in and the place seems very different. Much more light, friendly staff and doggo friendly.

Went with a friend had two meals for £13.49 Mon to Fri , which were lovely and freshly cooked. Caroline and Heidi really friendly and brought out the birthday cake I took for my friend and sang Happy Birthday. Definitely going back .
A great restaurant. We came for a family lunch and the food was great with the usual selection from a Hungry Horse menu. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Free parking in the car park, which wasn't too busy when we visited
