We dropped in here tonight for dinner without a booking with my wife and friend from Sydney. What a wonderful pub and restaurant. Full of charm and hospitality. The service was excellent. Our waitress was a lovely woman who exuded all the best of North Yorkshire. A lovely evening.

Only went to use the toilet and when you opened the door to the pub the smell of the food was mouth-watering, if I had not covering the load 10k race in the ambulance I would have definitely had something to eat. The staff were very nice and the toilet very clean and loved the wallpaper..
I made a dinner reservation after receiving a recommendation and I was certainly not disappointed. Great food, great service and reasonably priced. Would recommend booking for a Saturday as they do get busy.
