Food is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are really happy and accommodating, this is the best Sunday lunch we have ever had and the menu for the children is great too, they kindly altered my daughters meal for her as is such a fussy eater! We will definitely be returning and definately recommend.
Beautiful place, outstanding food & great staff! The Sunday roast is definitely worth visiting for, best ive had in this area in a long time. Will be visiting again soon!
Really great food - reasonably priced & such a lovely atmosphere in the pub . Super log burning stove - very friendly staff & Uber dog friendly . Highly recommend ... 👍👍👍
Fantastic country pub in the beautiful Devon countryside. Friendly and attentive staff, fantastic food (huge portions) all at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!
Had a meal here with 8 of us- 3 of which were kids- food was great, service excellent, really lovely pub. Kids loved the games, colouring and books. Would highly recommend.
Liz and her staff went above and beyond to help us as well as all of our guests at our wedding. As a wedding videographer and an ex chef, I have seen hundreds of wedding breakfasts but nothing like what was created for us by the Kings Arms.
No guest went without, the serving staff were attentive to everyone's needs and there was no question too big or to small for us to ask the manager Liz on the lead up to the day and on the day itself.
The food was excellent, the setting was perfect and the staff were above and beyond!
If you're having an intimate wedding in the area, a party or celebration I couldn't recommend the Kings Arms and its team more.
Massive thank you to everyone and we can't wait to come back, time and time again over the years.
We had a very warm welcome for both ourselves and our Irish Setter. We'd just spent 2.5 hrs on the beach running around with her. It was a bit hard to find but definitely worth it. The service was friendly and welcoming they even gave Gypsy her own bowl of water and it wasn't a hassle for them to give her lunch -kids sausage n veggies in a dog bowl for her to have. Which is a huge bonus as most think we are strange for feeding her again pub. She ate every scrap. I had the chicken burger which was well cooked n moist and my husband had the honey roast ham which he enjoyed. Thank you to all. We will drop in again before we leave on Saturday as we where down in North Devon on our honeymoon .... Thank you
Another amazing meal, love this place! The staff are so lovely & welcoming 10 out of 10 to the chef! Thank you
We had a wonderful evening with delicious food and great service. The children's menu was good and had a varied selection. I would highly recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon. Thank you to everyone who looked after us so well
What can I say, such amazing staff, so polite and welcoming, especially when engaging with my children, they made them fell very welcome. Amazing fresh food for both adults and children alike. In my humble opinion, it's the best pub in North Devon. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Great pub in lovely location, food is amazing, staff great & good selections of beers & spirits
Lives up to its reviews. Cosy. Good food. Attentive staff. Try the St Austell stout with a bowl of mussels.
Beautiful little candle lit pub, with a lovely atmosphere! We stopped by with 2 children, the staff were great and my two boys loved playing the board games that are available to all. The food was delicious I had prawn and crayfish tail sandwiches which were amazing! Really pleased we visited, it was a Perfect end to our holiday. I would highly recommend 😊
This our second visit, the staff are competent and confident in manner, the orders are precise and without fail, the food is very good quality and varies with specials as well as traditional pub fare. The beer is well kept and good firm favourites. The venue is clean, tidy and well kept. Overall, a very good dining experience for a table of 6, not always easy to do in a busy establishment
Wow, just had a Sunday roast there and wow, if my belly could talk it would be uttering happy things.
I had the roast pork belly and my wife had the vegan Wellington and we could not fault it. The pork belly was rendered beautiful and the vegetables provided excellent contrasting flavours, red cabbage with star anise and honey roasted carrots. The Cauliflower, Broccoli and cheese could have been a meal on its own. The gravy was just sublime and finished it off perfectly.
The staff were perfectly attentive without being overbearing.
Wifey ranked it as a 10/10 which is high praise indeed, I'd give it 9.9/10 only because I'm greedy and wanted more, and a chunk of bread to mop up all the juices 😋
Dog friendly!
Great pub, we booked a table, was seated immediately. Efficient and friendly service and the food was incredible. Lots of vegetarian options, great sized portions, it looked great and tasted even better! All 4 of us enjoyed our food. Would definitely return. Pictures show the veggie curry of the day (Mongolian sweet and sour aubergine and chickpea) and spring rolls with cauliflower rice and coconut laksa sauce
Such a lovely village pub. Great service & pub talk from the landlord, a vast selection of Ales,Lagers etc & an excellent menu at reasonable prices. I can personally highly recommend the Salmon & Prawn salad/sandwich which was Tip-Top & the Avocet Ale which I chose. Don’t miss out!!
The only reason I rated 4 for atmosphere is because we came in just before 2pm on a Thursday in August and we were the only people in here. However, the dining room, bar, and outdoor patio were lovely. Bathrooms are well maintained. Beer was good. Food was good. They have specials like chicken & chorizo pie, chicken jalfrezi curry, etc. Quite quaint but a bit upscale furnishings that set it above your ole boys pub. Staff were lovely and friendly. Parking is at the Georgeham Parish Council Parking Lot which is practically across the street (and free....or at least we thought it was free!).
Absolutely stunning exterior and interior, right by some beautiful beaches and in a picturesque village. Food was amazing, loads of choice and not just your typical pub food either, lots of variety, great atmosphere and fully stocked bar! Can't wait to visit again.
Was staying the night at georgeham and went to the kings arms for a pint or two and was lucky enough to get squeezed in for dinner as I hadn’t booked. Had the pie of the day and a cheesecake. It was brilliant. The service was excellent and I’ll be back if I’m in the area again!
Excellent food, couldn't fault the quality, portion size or price. Would highly recommend!
Must be said though that the large family who decided to come in, take over the whole room, complain about everything and let their dogs rome freely through the restaurant put a dampener on things. Would have stayed for dessert but these people made us want to leave as quickly as possible. Felt sorry for the owners and staff having to deal with them.
Such a hidden gem. We happened to pass the pub and decided to go for some tea as a treat and it really did not disappoint.
Big portions, absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this
One of my favourite pubs I have ever had the pleasure to visit. Have been coming to North Devon surfing since 2013 and have visited the King’s Arms most times I have been down. The service is fantastic and the food quite magnificent. Easily the best mussels I have ever eaten on a recent visit, where they were cooked in an N’duja sauce. Always a wonderful experience and I look forward to our return.
From the service to a successfully large portion the pub was value and tasted fantastic. The staff were attentive and the pub maintained a local vibe with lots of buz around the bar.
Couldnt recommended high enough for a quick bite or a family meal. There is plenty of parking opposite in the village car park and is dog friendly.
This place is a hidden gem. Dog friendly pub with a large restaurant. Food is incredible and staff very friendly. Like others have said, you may be a bit cramped if you bring a dog and are on a 2 person table as there's not much room under the table but that's no fault of the venue. No phone signal here but there is free WiFi available. Parking is at the community car park about 50 yards away
Honestly just superb. Service from the second you walk through the door was so nice and friendly. Food was 10/10. I Had the mussels starter (best I’ve ever eaten) and venison for main, again faultless. For the pubs location we all thought that the pricing was very reasonable too and will definitely visit again when back on holiday.
WOW, what a cracking Sunday lunch - great vegetarian roast!
If you are in North Devon and want a lovely Sunday roast make sure to visit.
The best roast I've ever had. The beef was so tender, perfectly cooked, and there were plenty of well seasoned vegetables to fill the plate. My boyfriend had the vegan option which he enjoyed. Was a lovely pub to visit as a change on a Sunday.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
The owners, all the staff and the locals are fabulous company and the food is truly incredible.
Visiting here made our time in Devon all the more special. Thank you x
Fantastic selection of beers and wines in this delightful country pub! Food is absolutely outstanding, with great quality ingredients (especially the meat and fish), plus a lovely welcoming team.
Fantastic! If you dine out just once on your holiday in the area go to this pub..Best pub food had in years, excellent service and lovely place to eat..definitely recommend a visit.
Fantastic place and very accomodating sheh we requested a corner table for our dog. You could feel a real community spirit when we entered as we were staying a nearby lodge. The staff were very attentive and was a really quick service. Food was excellent, with great presentation and you could taste local produce.
Highly suggesting booking to avoid disappointment as it fills really quickly!
