We arrived at 2 pm on Friday afternoon, just as service was ending. Not only did we still get served but we're made to feel so welcome. And to top it all, the food was absolutely fantastic. Thank you.

The Malt Shovel was recommended to us by a few friends, and we weren't disappointed. Lovely pub with a great menu selection, good service, and the food was delicious! The kind of food that makes you think everything on the menu will taste good! We booked online for our 8pm Friday night table, and it was nicely busy when we arrived. Slight wait on food but nothing unbearable. The first pub I've been to who have an in-house Cockatoo!! Would definitely go back.

What a lovely country pub. The food is really good and its reasonably priced too. There’s plenty to choose from on the menu and the staff are so friendly. and welcoming. There’s such a nice atmosphere. We have been trying out a few pubs and restaurants since moving to the area, but this is my favourite by far .

Loved this place. A pleasant stroll from the British Motor Museum, it is very easy to find. Food was wonderful and staff welcoming and friendly. Dogs are allowed and although we stayed for lunch, the chefs specials would definitely be an option for dinner! I would recommend this Inn and would definitely visit again.

Cost very traditional pub with extremely good food. Good selection of drinks. Quality of the food is high so value for money is only a little bit shy of exceptional while portions are very abundant. People drive from afar to eat here and I agree, It is well worth the drive. 4 stars instead of 5 since the extreme traditional decor and demeanour of the staff will not be everyone’s taste.

Lovely pub with good food selection, main menu very good but also a specials page. Had nibbles starter which was delicious, good quality balsamic and pesto dips for warm lightly toasted bread. Chippy board and an Irish stew for mains (landlady and chef Irish so definitely Irish stew) All lovely and will be back

Lovely, friendly pub. Great food and a good drinks selection. Staff attentive & park up perfect. Only makes down a teensy bit on atmosphere as it was a Monday night. Perfect though for a catch up with our friends.

Fabulous quality food and good service, the portions were amazing! I went here to meet up with my parents as we journeyed in opposite directions up and down the M40, it was a great choice - not too crowded on a weekend afternoon and nice setting. Being a hot sunny day, it was nice to sit in the cool bar area for food. The food came in a timely fashion and atmosphere was relaxed. Being close to the Jaguar Land Rover factory, there were a lot of employee retirements noted on the beams, which was a nice nod to the area's community. All in all, highly recommended and I'd definitely go again!

Popped in for an early lunch completely random choice. Was not disappointed the steak sandwich with the gravy was excellent. Very warming hosts. Will come back next time i need a lunch in the area.

Popped in on a quiet early Saturday lunchtime and just wanted something simple. I should have asked for a salad but had cheesy chips instead! Neither were on the menu so they were very accommodating. Would definitely go again.
