One of my absolute favourite brunch spots in Gateshead! I've been multiple times with my partner and recently brought my parents who were visiting from Ireland, and it's been exceptional every time. Great selection of brunch and lunch options which change seasonally, and a number of options for vegetarians. Portions are good, with the pancakes always being particularly generous. The venue is lovely and always immaculate, and the service is always super friendly.

Great place for brunch/lunch. Sat outside in the courtyard in the sun. The drinks were tasty and fresh the service from the staff, owner's. The food portion size was good. The food tastes great and good quality. Would highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again. The place looks great, and the staff friendly welcoming lovely service.

Went with a few work colleagues and had coffee/tea with scones, excellent service and quick with order. The latte I had was nice too, tasted like it had been made properly. The cheese scone was one of the best I’ve ever had, along with the accompanying chutney. Won’t hesitate to come back here, a very nice place that feels detached from the nearby busy area.

Ardallan Kitchen is a truly special place offering outstanding food in a beautifully decorated, relaxed setting - complete with a gorgeous, tranquil outdoor courtyard. My friend and I have visited on a number of occasions and sampled many of the dishes. Every dish we tried was of exceptional quality, from the homity pie and whipped feta on toast to the blueberry pancake stack (by far the best pancakes I've ever had - and I've done my research!). Definitely bring your appetite when you dine here as portion sizes are generous and you're going to want to sample the coffees and desserts, too. Service was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming and the team were all very friendly and attentive. I couldn't recommend Ardallan Kitchen enough and I'm now counting down the days until I can visit again when I'm in the area next month.

Such a hidden gem!! We had the loveliest breakfast here a few weeks ago. The staff were absolutely lovely and friendly and the food was to die for. We will be back.

We went for breakfast, which starts at 10am. Plenty of choice and good value. The food was delicious, my wife had rarebit (deluxe cheese on toast for the uninitiated), the cheese was mixed with brown ale and mustard before grilling and I had a sausage and fried egg sandwich (avocados and tomatoes were in attendance here). Nice coffee and atmosphere, and I had to try some cheesecake (it was at least 11am - and I was testing it in case you wanted some - don't judge me). Well worth the trip.
