Lovely views overlooking the bay such a beautiful venue that has maximised the view by a modern architectural design. Indoor and outdoor seating both great. We were there for their breakfast menu which was eaten with delight. Flexible menu so you can add items as you please. The came recommended by multiple friends and now recommended by me too. Definitely worth a visit
Wow this place is amazing. The views are to die for. An absolutely beautiful place to stop at. We were on our way back to our hotel from a day out and had been recommended to stop here on the way home. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant and outdoor spaces were absolutely incredible, comfortable and tastefully decorated. A well thought out and planned area. Sadly we didn't have anything to eat but that's OK because the food looked fabulous and we are desperate to come back for a visit. Highly recommend Gather. Can't wait to come back.
The best breakfast out ever. Such friendly staff, amazing food, and the setting speaks for itself. Definitely book in advance to dine inside. There is a beautiful outside area (dog friendly) where light bites are available. It was too difficult to choose between sweet or savory, so we had both! Highly recommend the pancakes. Everyone in the area needs to eat here!
I'd been meaning to go here for ages & was so glad I finally made it.
Breakfast was great in this polished eatery although there was no flexibility on the offering (I hate grilled tomato).
Dinner was also brilliant. Great food & lovely staff contribute to a memorable dining experience.

Our foodie highlight of the week in Galloway was Gather , everything was perfect , the weather behaved so we had clear views across the to the Isle of Man from the front of the restaurant ,, what a location , the service was superb from walking through the door to leaving a few hours later everybody was friendly and so efficient but the real highlight was the food , from the prosciutto ,pesto and mozzarella flatbread to start to the Galloway crab and king prawn bruschetta for mains every mouthfull was exquisite, highly recommended if in the area
Love this place! Magnificent views and great food. One of the best vegan breakfasts I've had (tattie scones, haggis and sausage). Highly recommended!
Visited for dinner while staying in one of the snugs. The food was great and the views from the restaurant are stunning! What has made me leave this review is how helpful the staff were. Our 5 month old was very unsettled when we arrived and they offered us a quieter room as they could see me stressing. Managed to settle our baby and stay in the main room but being offered this help made to feel really comfortable by the lovely team! Also had breakfast the next morning and again lovely staff and food!
First visit last week. The staff were excellent and very attentive to our questions, having dogs with us we used the outside space with the heated benches (Nice touch) although the outside menu is limited which was a slight disappointment but still managed a great lunch served very quickly and hot. Views are fantastic and with their excellent hot chocolate and coffee we had a great 1zt visit and will be back. There are also complimentary blankets if required for outdoor use
I can't rate food as I didn't have any on this visit, something I shall rectify very soon. The views are amazing, everything about this place is just perfect. Highly recommend
Can't really say anything negative here. Great all around! The food may seem a bit pricey, but the quality and presentation of it is worth it. Would recommend for a special occasion meal!

Very friendly pub with excellent service and reasonable pricing. The views were stunning and there is a fantastic little walk to the top of the mountain behind the cafe. Highly recommended for all the family. A great stop off, you won't be disappointed!
Fantastic full Scottish breakfast in one of the most gorgeous settings in the country.

Among other things we ate my favourite was Galloway Crab and King prawn ‘Bruschetta’, probably one of the most delicious courses in ever had. Thank you all.
Stunning location with delicious food.
Menu is eclectic and delicious. I ordered the Cevapi, a traditional meal from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have been to B&H and ate Cevapi, but never seen it in the UK so I was curious as to how it would stack up with the "original", and it definitely did! It was delicious.
I went with my family and all of us enjoyed every part of our meal.
Absolutely stunning place to enjoy amazing breakfast 🍳 food is to die for 🤩 and the view is breathtaking. Staff very friendly and polite. Will definitely be back there if I have a chance 🙂🙂
This is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely view and friendly staff. But, I felt compelled to leave a review because the food wasn’t what I expected. We’re really careful about where we eat out because of health reasons - we look for clean, homemade food. The website and menu present as being very quality, local, homemade food. A lot of the food comes from a can or is frozen - the waitress told me when I asked about a few items. And, they are cooking in quite a low quality vegetable oil that leaves that film in your mouth. They also don’t allow any swaps - we couldn’t even get the kids pancakes without Nutella, so we had to order my son the adult ones. I still gave it 4 stars because it was a lovely spot with lovely staff. I just wish they would make the food fresh especially given the amazing quality of local produce around.
Fantastic location. Great outdoor eating area with blankets and fire pits to keep you warm on a chilly day or evening. Inside dining area was lovely with tsbles well spaced and where posdible seats were turned towards the amazing views. Food was lovely and well presented. Service was good and the staff were friendly.
Had a lovely birthday lunch with the family. Beautiful place and views, lovely food and great staff. 2nd time here. Last time great too- at teatime. Will try the breakfast menu next time. Thank you for a lovely meal xx
