Family run inn, with good food and drinks. The owners are kind and reserved, still ready to strike a conversation. Located in a quiet village with plenty of beautiful walks in the area and a play park just close by.
Went to this delightful little country pub for dinner and wos not disappointed. Warm and friendly reception, seated straight away and the service as well as the food wos first class. I had the salt and pepper squid and prawns followed by the venison burger both were amazing and well cooked and all washed down by a pint lovely. Its a little out of the way but we'll worth setting your satnave and paying it a visit
We visited the Garvald Inn restaurant as part of a visit to Carfrae Farm u the road. A quaint and friendly restaurant, made really good homemade style food. Elaine and Peter who run the place were really lovely and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It worked well for our family and they were really accommodating with food options for our children, when asked what they wanted they suggested their homemade chicken nuggets and chips, they were tasty (as we of course had to taste test!) Hopefully we will be back once in the area.
Beer was cask. Fresh and well kept.
Usual wines on offer are perfectly acceptable. Nice wee country pub. Food menu looks good, but it wasn't tried. Definitely worth checking out for that pint alone.
Beautifully made pub food. The calamari and prawns were lovely. Great service. Chilled atmosphere. Cosy.
A delicious lunch — not just your standard pub fare. The duck with ginger and rhubarb was particularly good.

Very nice couple working hard. We had a nice time there. Yes nice drive in country then try the Garvald Inn it has outside tables round back. Serves meals home made. Yes I would recommend this Inn.
Classic Scottish Inn, really excellent home cooked food. Flexible on portion sizes which was very welcome. Highly recommended.
