Honestly, this is the absolute best family pub/restaurant for MILES around. (Actually, maybe the best family pub we’ve ever been to). We visited on the 5th of June, just as most of the kids (except ours) have gone back to school after half term. We came as a family - me, my husband, our 2 children (10yrs & 16months) and my mum. It’s almost impossible to find somewhere that we can ALL enjoy visiting but The Bellflower was absolutely perfect.
The weather was beautiful so we sat outside in the beer garden. It was really quiet (I’m guessing because it’s just been half term) but I’m sure it would still be a lovely place to sit out even if it was busy, because there were loads of places to sit, with the tables spread out so it didn’t feel cramped. Our daughter enjoyed playing on the little play area and our car-obsessed little boy enjoyed being able to see the road! It was great for us adults, as we chose a table next to the hedge so we weren’t staring at the traffic, but could easily see the kids enjoying themselves. Plus, the beer garden is completely fenced in, so we knew they were safe.
The menu was HUGE with something for everyone, and various specials on through the week. Everything looked and tasted amazing. 3 of us had steak - all cooked differently and all cooked to perfection, which isn’t easy to do. Absolute compliments to the chef - that’s the first time in almost 7 years that all of our steaks have been perfect.
The staff were absolutely brilliant. From the warm welcome to the friendly atmosphere, to the kind gesture just before we left (our daughter came out saying “he was really kind, I like him) it was just flawless.
Great staff, great menu, great food, great atmosphere, great beer garden. It’s dog friendly, family friendly. It’s just friendly! If you want a relaxed place to have a really good meal with the family, I can definitely recommend The Bellflower.
Family friendly; total bargain; friendly staff; decorated for Halloween; children ate for £1!!; food was yummy; great portions. This is the second time we've come and won't be the last! Really convenient being on the a6. Nice interior, and really spacious with high ceilings. Definitely recommend.

I visited here last week for my early birthday meal and the service and food was amazing! I came with my mum and my boyfriend and we was all so happy with the whole visit! I got the mega mixed grill and it’s honestly the best one I’ve ever tasted! It really was worth the 30 minute drive to visit☺️ a big shout out to Paul for your lovely customer service, thank you again! See you next time! X
Called in for a Sunday Lunch with our dog. I have to say it surpassed our expectations. This was a small lunch and was amazing, the beef seemed never ending. Full menu for the dog too as well as treats 😋. Very friendly staff and excellent service all the way through. Had a brilliant afternoon, we'll definitely be back.
Fantastic customer service, very attentive cannot do enough for you, actually ask 4 times if the meals were all okay. Paul especially stood out. Love all the halloween decs, my favourite area is the doggie area, i often take my two pooches for a evening treat, they especially love the treats. And finally to start on the food was really good, pleasantly surprised.
Brilliant...the dog loved the sausage, burger and gravy followed by ice cream from the a'la bark menu...and our lunchtime nibbles were really good!also the Lancaster canal is within 100yards so great to walk the food off!!👏👏👏🍻👍
Today was our 2nd visit this week whilst on holiday here. We had the steak which was cooked to our requirements by Caroline, I have an allergy & they ensured that the meal was cooked separately away from any food that could cause contamination to my meal. Well done by all the staff. Will definitely return again.
