My wife and I drive over from Falkirk about once per month to dine here. On this occasion our Family were up from York so we went along with them on Sunday evening. They enjoyed the surroundings and the friendliness of the staff right from the moment we arrived. The drinks came as ordered as did the food, piping hot well cooked tasty starters followed by succulent mains in man size portions. Everything was eagerly eaten up with nothing left on the plates. Only two of the party could manage a sweet but both struggled to finish them. We enjoy this restaurant so much because the food is cooked to order and they use fresh local ingredients. The menu offers a good array of choices for the three courses and the flavours stimulate your appetite. I would definately recommend the Gargunnock Inn for hot tasty food at extremely reasonable prices.
We’ve been to the Gargunnock Inn several times over the past year or two and it never disappoints. Everything we’ve had off of the menu is exceptional and I could easily eat here every night and not get bored. The chef and staff are always friendly and helpful, and nothing is ever a problem. Some of the best food I’ve tasted has been at the Gargunnock Inn! It’s first on our go-to list if we’re ever contemplating going out for dinner
We arrived by coach as a party of 26 so we were a challenge! Excellent drinks with a choice of 2 cask ales. Food order taken at the table by very friendly and bubbly ladies which arrived quickly. Battered haggis was delicious followed by a great portion of fish and chips. 2 courses for less than £10 was easy on the wallet. I fully recommend the food and ale but a special mention for the hospitality. Many thanks.
Came here after a long day at the safari. The staff where amazing. Arranged a table for us to accommodate a twin pram, no hassle for them whatsoever. Food was delicious and service was without doubt 5 star. Thank you.
Excellent food. Good waitress service, very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.
We made a spur of the moment decision to celebrate our wedding anniversary here and it was perfect. The food was delicious, service good, atmosphere relaxing and we'll definitely go back.
Amazing food and helpful staff. Friendly atmosphere. Have been a number of times now and always enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend!
We were late on the road , and phoned them and they stayed open for us. fantastic food thanks again..
Friendly welcome, excellent service, fabulous food, delicious specials. Would highly recommend
Went in and had a bar lunch, food was amazing and value for money. Staff very nice also. Will definately be back.
Very friendly poeple and good service .... the food is realy delicious.
Just back from a U3A lunch - quite delicious leek and potato soup followed by superb steak and cask ale pie with coffee to follow. Two glasses of a most excellent Merlot. Service top class. Will be back.
We thought we'd go for a family meal so phoned ahead to inquire if our dog was welcome, "yes of course, there's areas in the bar" they replied so we booked ahead incl our dog. With ample car parking outside, we walked in to a very friendly & welcoming environment where immediately after being seated a bowl of fresh water was set down for the dog then our drinks orders were taken; 100% pet friendly. The food we had was amazing, the other customers were relaxed and the staff though busy were so helpful and orders were completely accurate. We'll certainly not overlook the Gargunnock Inn for a bit to eat or a meal out. Admittedly that was the 1st return for me in 20 yrs or so, I'm glad it's still as relaxed as it was back then.
The best fish and chips Ive had in a long time!!

Nice pub with very helpful and attentive staff. Food was really nice, generous portions and thanks to the kitchen staff. Had three courses with 2 drinks and was about £35, reasonably priced. Would go again.
Lovely, dog friendly pub. Very welcoming and food is fab. Easy to miss so look out for it! Well worth a visit.
Steak and Ale pie was really tender, vegetables were great. Pub special of Roast Chicken and Haggis was tasty and very filling. Would recommend
A fantastic place for a family meal. The place evokes warm and a traditional Scottish setup with lots of sections for individuals or family who either likes a quiet corner or a rowdy family meal. Didn't expect to find a super juicy rib eye steak done exactly what we ordered. Desserts just yummy and price is good.
We found the Gargunnock Inn by accident a few years ago and go whenever we can.
The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the food is proper home cooked meals, plenty of choice, and good value.
It's worth a visit if you get the chance.
On holiday stayed in Gargunnock, 1st night we headed to the Gargunnock Inn for drinks, taking our westie Angus with us. The inn was very busy but we were told there were seats in the bar, we were made to feel very welcomed and had a great night in this family and dog friendly inn. Tonight we decided to go for dinner and we were not disappointed, the food, service and atmosphere were all fabulous. Would highly recommend a visit but make sure you book. A lovely local inn which welcomes strangers warmly.

Fantastic food and service- will defo go back
We stopped at the Gargunnock Inn for lunch. We had just toured Stirling castle and were on our way to a whisky distillery and wanted to fill our tummies. This is relatively easy to find. It is off the main road and is kind of isolated. But it was only a detour of about 5 minutes from our route. There is a parking lot right beside the place. We were the only customers at the time. The waitress asked us where we'd like to sit and we chose right beside the warm stove. There was a wide selection of foods at reasonable prices. We chose the soup, salad, and half baguette sandwich. For £6.85 you get your money's worth! There were at least 6 different choices for sandwich fillings. I had the Brie and bacon. My sister had the coronation chicken, which tasted kind of like a curry. Both were yummy choices. The soup of the day was broccoli and veg. Again, warm and delicious. The salad was good, too. I wish I had gotten a picture of the menu or the food. The picture included is of the cosy stove we were seated by. There are restrooms. Also there is a bar area with a pool table. It was lunchtime and so we didn't go over there. They take cash and credit card. This is just a ten or so minute drive from Stirling Castle.
This is such a good pub. Comfortable and friendly and good value for money.
They serve good, unfussy food - we had delicious local sausages & mash and a fish finger sandwich, and a couple of pints of local ale.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Nice local village Inn. Friendly service, prompt, and chicken Balmoral was excellent.
Lovely Inn with great food and drinks menu in a scenic Stirlingshire village. Plenty of country walks in the area surrounding the inn, including to spectacular waterfalls, Downie's Loup

Went for a meal with relatives, visiting The Gargunnock Inn for the first time.
We all enjoyed our meal and felt it to be very relaxing and not rushed. Loved the fact dogs are welcome. Would certainly recommend. We will be back.
We sat at an outside table and had one drink, nice to be out in the sunshine
