Dalesman Cafe - Gargrave - Photo album

We only called in for coffee and cake but both were amazing! Although we couldn't resist the sweets too. Special mention to the lady behind the counter, she was absolutely lovely and so professional Specially given they were so busy!
Joan welcomed us and was very warm and friendly. Helpful in seating us and taking our order. Linda the owner chatted to us as we were about to leave. A very eclectic must visit little tea room! A cornucopia of China and items from many ages.
Great venue and exceptional service. Had a mini breakfast about £3 per toast or tea bread item. Lovely fire in the side room and the sweet shop is a kids or grandparents treat.
Nice place, quite unusual as they're aiming for. Fascinating décor and built in sweetshop too. Fairly expensive but a good choice for food. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
What a find, called in for lunch and a cup of tea and came out with some wonderful old gardening tools and some naughty sweets. Dog friendly and very clean and pleasant. Food was lovely too. Would highly recommend a visit. I will certainly be back. :-)
It's a lovely little gem in gargrave to stop at for lovely food, drinks and a sweet shop selling all those sweets that bring back memories. The walls and selves contain items that bring back memories of the past a talking point as you enjoy your food. X
Love this place!! Only thing is the coffee is a bit small. It’s delicious! And the right price for a coffee but needs to be more of it 😊
A very small shop, beware as it gets busy quickly - it can be over crowded. There's a nice selection of food and drinks, we just had coffee because it was so busy and we had too short of a time constraint to wait, but it was fine. The staff seem friendly and there are loads of sweets and ice cream,
Lovely quaint tea room. Great, reasonably priced food and drink; pleasant, welcoming staff and lovely traditional atmosphere! Everywhere you look inside is decorated with traditional British memorabilia. A step back in time. Sweet shop has a fantastic selection of sweets and really good value. Could
What a fabulous find. Scrummy cakes served on pretty plates, fascinating vintage decorative items at very reasonable prices, an old fashioned sweet shop, dog friendly and excellent service from welcoming staff. Set in a pretty village beside a stream. What more could you ask for?
Popped in on a long drive back home for a morning bite which didn't disappoint! Lovely decor and ambience with a great price tag to match!
A great find. Lovely food in a very clean and pleasant place. Full of character too
Loved our lunch, quaint tea room and the lady who owns it was knowledgeable about the local area, loved the decor took me back to my childhood
Sadly closed for refurb by the looks of it when we ventured past. Very picturesque little cafe serving tea, afternoon tea, ice cream, sweets and cakes etc. Imagine it’s very popular with walkers and in summertime. One for the list to return back for afternoon tea.
Lovely cafe, the staff are very pleasant ,food is lovely too I love this place always a warm welcome
Busy spot, considering it was quiet when we Arrived after 2pm, then all of Sudden busy. Either have one person stationed at the kiosk buying sweets nd paying for goods highly recommend. Otherwise was Fun and Quirky with old style memory Sweet Shop, garden potting shed shop and cafe
The Dalesman, on Gargrave's High Street, is a cafe and sweet shop that enjoys the distinction of being the starting point of a 6.5 mile leg of the Pennine Way in Cicerone's "Pennine Way" guide that crosses the Leeds/Liverpool Canal, climbs over Eshton Moor and ends in Malham. In this respect the ca
