Popped in for lunch whilst shopping in Gargrave, we were not disappointed.
The food was excellent with a great choice to suit everyone and their tastes.
I definitely recommend a visit if in the area , the bar also has a good selection of drinks and the coffee is not bad either.
We will be back in the future

Solid pub in a small village specialising on Sunday Roast and beef. Very good kitchen, very reasonable prices, very friendly and helpful service. Also have a children’s menu. Free parking behind the restaurant.

Myself, partner and father came here and had a lovely dinner, everything was delicious! Great sized portions and reasonably priced. Better than the usual pub grub you'd expect and excellent desserts enjoyed by all! The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, the staff are attentive and it's definetly the place to eat if you ever find yourself in Gargrave.
Popped in today for the first time. Husband had lamb shank and I had a burger with Monteray Jack and bacon. Food was so delicious and filling. Nice rooms to eat in. Very pleasant atmosphere. Staff friendly. Really enjoyed our meal. Would go again.
What a lovely stay. Gorgeous old pub in a lovely part of Yorkshire, great base for exploring dales. Rooms looked as if they've just been refurbished they were beautiful. Manager and staff were really helpful and friendly. Ate in the restaurant and food was really good. Good gluten free options and knowledge of cross contamination. A really lovely place, can't wait to return.

We were not looking forward to a second consecutive evening of pub food but since most other restaurants were closed on Monday evening we found our way here. We needn't have worried. The menu is definitely not your typical pub fare.
I had the rump of lamb which was beautifully cooked and pink in the middle. It was served with sun-blushed tomatoes which provided the necessary balance with the meat and also new potatoes and shredded cabbage.
I was a little surprised to see large pieces of local bacon which, although working well with the cabbage did rather dominate the flavour of the lamb. Overall I was impressed with the imagination of the dish and the care with which it was cooked.
The 'crushed' new potatoes weren't really crushed and therefore hadn't absorbed much of the cooking juices and the wine was served on top of a bucket of ice not in it.
The service however was very friendly and attentive.
Overall a very enjoyable meal and far better than the 'pub food' of the previous evening.
Really nice traditional public house offering a good variety of drinks and lovely home cooking plus service with a smile.

Fabulous stay. What a find. Stayed overnight visiting family and ate in the bar. Delicious sunday roast. Breakfast was lovely too. Lovelt decorated room with comfy bed and great shower. Special shout out to the staff who were so pleasant and efficient.

My husband and I walked along the canal and stopped off for Sunday lunch here. It was SOOOO good and I loved how you can get extra Yorkshire puddings, gravy and roast potatoes included in the price. I ordered extra gravy and roast potatoes as I'd worked up an appetite. The pub is split into cosy rooms so you can chose the room that suits your party, the staff are very attentive, the food tastes great and it's just well looked after pub. I can't wait for our next visit as it's a real gem of a pub!
Just had a quick lunch here today. First time, but we will be back. The two people looking after us (Emma and Reuben but I may have misheard?) were great… the food was to die for. Great quality and good portions at a very reasonable price. The place was lovely and warm, comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated and a great pint of well-kept ale! The only thing I’d moan about is….. nowt!
We booked for a family get together Saturday lunchtime. The pub was quiet but there was only one member of staff running the bar and serving food. The food we had was excellent but the service was lacking no steak knives brought and nobody checked if everything was OK, the plates were still on the table 1 hr after we finished. We didn't stay and have anymore drinks as it was freezing. The other couple of tables people were sat in coats.
This pub I would still recommend as the food is excellent they just need to improve the service.
Stopped here after cycling up from Barnoldswick. Brilliant beer garden and food and drinks were excellent.
The kids' menu is particularly good value. Proper home cooked mains and amazing dessert for £4.50.
Staff very friendly. Could happily have stayed all day.

Very nice pub, we tried sunday roast and it was delicious and perfect. Also very satisfied that they were serving food late on sunday afternoon. We were starving, and this place saved us.

Sunday lunches can be a lottery but at the Old Swan in Gargrave, Yorkshire you have a winner. Great pub, great atmosphere, great service and, most of all, a great Sunday Lunch. Thank you.

The drinks and the food were second to none. Great value for money as well.

We stayed in Gargrave for a few days. We went twice for dinner in the Old Swan. Both times ,meals were excellent. Really good table service by Julie, jade and jess.
Been here tonight for dinner was our first time. Had the turkey roast dinner,was good,but plate not big enough,needed more gravy & mash spud,york pud was too big for me! Staff a bit slow,too busy talking among themselves & not bringing what you asked for. Loved the pub,very cosy.
