A lovely pub with a friendly, but country feel. I've always been made to feel welcome and the outside seating area is really well kept and very inviting!
Context = walked a few miles there along the Greensands Ridge Walk in Sep-2020.
Pros = Very traditional feeling pub = lots of wood and low ceilings. Friendly staff. Well set up for social distancing. Large beer garden. Clean toilets.

The landlady was lovely & friendly - we asked if we could park in the car park overnight with the motorhome and she was very happy for this. We had a drink in the garden and everyone was in a great mood - England winning the quarters. Unfortunately, children were playing football in the car park and
Really lovely pub in this village. Been several times when in this area. Always busy with locals and a nice, friendly atmosphere. Good pub and decent food at decent prices. Worth a visit.

Drinks aren't the cheapest (apart from wine, is very good value) but still affordable.
Food price also bites a bit but definitely worted a try once a week or so.

Good food for a good name
A classic British pub where as a stranger you get a cursory glance by all as you enter, after which the friendly locals nodded and went about their business. The Greene King IPA was delicious and crystal clear. One will return next time I am in the area. Gracias a todo :-)
My local. They recently won a casque-marque award which speaks volumes for the quality of their ales. It is a grade 2 listed building allowing you to soak in the 16th/17th century architecture. They have a restaurant for food. You are elbow to elbow and knocking knees, tall people will need to mind
