Just passing through on our way to Lancaster. Found this chippy and so pleased we did. The food was absolute delicious. The best I've had.. The service was impeccable and very friendly. Would definitely recommend this chippy to anyone. Thank you and keep up the great service. Andrea

The only chippy I've found in the area that does a deep fried battered Mars bar, reason enough it itself to visit. Add on top of that a lovely friendly owner and a good quality meal, and it's worth the trip out of Lancaster.

I don't go here often, just when on holiday in nearby Thurnham Hall. I haven't tried any other Fish & Chip Shops nearby, and I doubt very much that I will be doing so. I'll stick with The Plaice.

Belting chippy, proper old style chippy. Top notch food, made better by the cracking banter off the bloke who runs it.
