Went here for a family meal just before Christmas and all had a great time.
Food was very nice, staff friendly and overall the place was great. Sadly no pizza served at lunchtime which was a bit odd but the children managed to find something else to eat but did fancy the pizza.
Nice setting next to the Loch and good little walk around it to burn off the food afterwards.
Defo recommend and return.
Such a lovely restaurant on the small loch. Great menu, definitely something for everyone. Food fresh and very tasty. Staff excellent and couldn't have felt more welcome. Any time we are in the Borders we come here. Dog friendly as well! Brilliant!
Very nice restaurant in the Scottish Borders. If you are seated at the window, you will enjoy the idilic scenario of the pond with the ducks and swans. The service is amazing with smiling faces all the times. Also fast and dedicated. You have a good food option with a range from fish and meat to pizzas and pasta. They have a lovely deck where you could enjoy your dinner or drink in a nice summer evening. Highly recommended!
Fast service with a smile. Delicious coffee. Nice interior on the side of a loch with a wee fountain and swans, delightful. Salad was tasty.

Lovely place. Very comfortable to sit and have coffee and cake. It's also nice seeing the pond from the comfort of the warm cosiness.

If we could give 6 stars we would. Friendly welcoming staff efficient non fussy helpful service. Dog friendly great location and lovely surroundings inside and out. Best of all was the quality of the good, exceptional. We were a group of four all ordered something different and each meal was without doubt exceptional. Fantastically presented from a great menu choice. We live 80 miles away but had reason to visit Galashiels for the day and called here for Sunday lunch. We would and will certainly drive the 80 miles again but this time just to dine at Herges on the Loch yes we all enjoyed it that much.
For dog owners the restaurant is very dog friendly and is located within a lovely small country park ideal for walking the dogs with well maintained made of path ways.
