Fabulous café with really delicious homemade food and a great selection of cakes!
We had the homemade cauliflower, pea & mint soup with the cheese & seaweed scone. Both were delicious. The mocha was excellent, too. Service was very fast and extremely friendly.
Great views, spacious seating, excellent loos!
The cafe is above the museum, but you can visit both separately. (although, according to the sign on the door, the cafe is currently closed at the weekend)
Catered for our allergy needs excellently by preparing a small batch of prawn cocktail which was dairy and chilli free. Thank you. 👍👍 The hot milk with the coffee was also a tasty treat. 😋
Great views over the sea from the coffee shop. Had a coffee and a soft drink plus something called a Lemon Fudge cake, unusual but very tasty and worth a try.
Cakes and scone very tasty, coffee could have been a bit hotter, but as the staff were so friendly would still recommend when in the area.
Wonderful staff and the food is better than most restaurants. You will not be disappointed.
Lovely staff, great food and lovely views. I’m gluten and lactose intolerant and the staff were fantastically accommodating. Came here several times over the course of the week and can’t recommend it highly enough. They do get busy so if your coming at peak times best to reserve a table as it’s quite small.
Great cafe, yummy food, staff very friendly and nice to have table service. My daughter was disappointed she only got cucumber cause she doesn't like it but no reflection of food. Suggestion is kids could be given options for their side, like apple, grapes etc with toasties. Also kids baked potatoes might be a good option too. Loved my soup and delicious cheese scone. Also had a yummy hot chocolate.
Lovely lunch, delicious BLT and asparagus quiche. Amazing coffee!
Great place on the NC 500 route to stop for cakes or a healthy lunch. Good coffee as well.
Great wee cafe to stop at after having a look around the Musuem. The toasties are always great !
Excellent lunch place with decadent toasties, soups and salads - Mac and cheese with black pudding toastie. A dream made real. Cakes are homemade and properly indulgent. Just what you need after a traipse on the local hills and coastal paths. So good we've been twice while here and might go again.
I was going to take a photo of the black pudding jacket potato I ordered, but it looked so good I totally forgot and wolfed it down straight away. Can honestly say was the best jacket potato I’ve had in a while! Totally recommend :D
Amazing food, thoughtful staff, stunning views.
Very enjoyable experience, coffee and a scone.
Food is delicious, cake selection is fantastic and service was wonderful - definitely be back!
Had a lovely birthday lunch with friends, great atmosphere, really enjoyed it!
A really excellent cafe - good food, friendly staff, well worth a visit
