This was my 1st visit here ,I was actually a bit surprised to find 5 or 6 customers already waiting inside the premises as it wasn't long after the 4.30pm Saturday evening opening time.The Staff on duty were very pleasant & chatty with the customers in the queue & even thanking everyone as they left
Queue out the door, but I really didn't mind. I was looking forward to a tasty meal. MY PIECE OF FISH WAS PHENOMENAL. Also bought fish cakes & scampi & large chips. Under £20. Would definitely recommend it.

Have only lived in Gainsborough for a few months now, was told that adams bay was the chip shop to go to, but I’m afraid to say it was wrong Johnsons is brilliant, good atmosphere fresh cooked, fish was fresh. Will definitely be going back!!

We found it last night at Johnson’s in Gainsborough. We had haddock chips mushy peas and sampled a spam fritter to rekindle school dinner memories! The service was on the ball, friend
There isn't a better chippy round here. The fish is always so fresh and well cooked, absolutely massive portions and the team are so friendly. Would recommend this to anyone, but make sure you are hungry!
