Friendly, classy, with exceptional food and a great atmosphere. Cannot recommend this pub enough. It is immaculately clean, everything feels fresh but they’ve kept all the beautiful original features. We’ve recently been for Sunday dinner which really was fantastic, and held my fathers wake at the Cheney which went perfectly. Can’t thank the owners enough for their hospitality. Gorgeous village and enough space outside for the children to run around and play. 5 stars!
A very nice village pub/restaurant we stumbled across whilst on a diversion. Well priced 1 beer, 2 j2os, 1 coke, 2 packets of crisps and scampi fries...£15.
Would definitely eat here if we pass again.
It's a lovely country pub, the meal was top notch at a very fair price. We went on a friday early evening and it was a great atmosphere, staff where all good too. We will be going back on a wednesday sometime soon for pie night.

Wednesday night is pie night and they were fantastic. You have to prebook which means your pie is ready soon as you arrive
Very nice country pub in a fantastic setting good selection of beers , didnt have food but the menu looked good we will definitely go back again to try the food

We visited on Wednesday pie night from the moment we sat down service was prompt although we had pre-ordered the drinks came within a couple of minutes and the food followed soon after the pies were exceptional most enjoyable evening
We have not visited the Cheney Arms for a long time and on a good recommendation arrange to meet up with friends for lunch,having viewed their Web site.
The service was first class,the menu had plenty of choice, drinks were served and a most enjoyable lunch was had by all.
We must go back for the pie night.
