We loved this place and the friendly welcome we received when we arrived. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. After a great night's sleep and a good shower using lovely fluffy towels, we went down for breakfast, served between 7.30am and 9.30am we were told, at 8.45am approximately. We were the only diners and our breakfast looked good when it arrived, but it was cold which is why overall we can't 5 star rate our stay. The coffee was not good either compared with the great coffee the lovely woman on duty when we arrived made us after our night out on Tuesday 24th. We just felt little things were missing as well at breakfast, like clean side plates for toast rather than everything lumped onto one plate. There were jams for toast provided so a fresh plate would have been good. It felt as if providing us with breakfast was a bit of an effort given we were the last to be served assuming there were others staying. We didn't see anyone else!
We'd like to return knowing next time we'd enjoy our breakfast as we did love the place and there was good parking too.
Have an amazing meal here and we brought our little puppy. They could not help us enough. The food was really amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately it was not that busy so I hope they get the support they deserve. The place is clean and looks like a recent refurb. Give it a go!
A lovely place, beautiful decor, the service was good and the meal great. However, we left sad. The entire place was empty on a Saturday night. We’d also been into the Rabbit and Hat and the Six Bells. Fulbourn…where are you? All these places were lovely, but no one out. I predict the village will be a residential suburb of Cambridge within the next ten years.
