Lovely well kept cozy bar, good selection of beers both lager and ales. Has decent selection of ciders also

Staff are all the best ,food is served quickly in an a artisan manner and is very tasty . Can't wait to go back an sample thier fine ales.
Excellent food, were there at lunch time, staff very friendly, the pub was fairly quiet, there were 8 of us, we had a lovely room to ourselves.quite a nice choice on the menu.
Went for Sunday lunch for my daughters and son in law's birthday. Food was great service was a bit slow but there was 13 of us. The homemade chips were to die for. Loved the outside play area for the grand children. Overall all ut was great.
Called in, without a reservation, for Sunday Lunch. They were busy, with a large party, but, still fitted us in. Staff very pleasant. Sunday lunch excellent.
Visited here for a family birthday meal and the staff accommodated us very well. The food was really delicious and a very good selection all members of our party enjoyed the meal. Great friendly staff who made our whole visit a fantastic experience.

The home made burgers are superb
Fantastic food, we are very fussy but everything was fresh, hot and quite fast in getting to the table, all made even better by great service, young man and young lady waited on my family of 7 and the whole experience was lovely.
Attentive staff buffet was good albeit i would have liked more cheese only 3 star rating as i was there for a wake

Spot-on, well priced Sunday roast and served quickly. Great beer and cider selection including a good Guinness. Really cosy, welcoming, old-style pub with tons of character, ample parking, a crackling fire and lovely, friendly, attentive bar and waiting staff (not to mention RECENT awards!).
My wife and I like to try different pubs wherever we travel and found The Goat right on our doorstep, and would both highly recommend it for its Sunday lunch we had this afternoon and would definitely come back again, the perfect measure of a great pub well deserving of its awards! Well worth a visit if you’re in the area… or county.
