The Grouse Inn - Froggatt - Photo album

My son and stopped at The grouse inn for some lunch on our walks around the peak District. I had muddled meats salad and my son had vegetable soup which he loved. There was a roaring fire and a lovely welcome to the wet and windy weather. Lovely little find.
Good and fast service! Plenty of tables inside and outside. The fish and chips was not great, the fish was a bit watery, and without seasoning. But the other people loved their dishes. The cheese salad was not what we were expecting but was pretty great and very well served ☺️ The Wi-Fi didn’t w
Just called in for a couple of pints on Sunday lunch. Very busy. The steak pie smelled delicious. Intend to go there one weekday lunchtime for pie!
My favourite pub in the peaks! Lovely food and beer, and a stunning view with always friendly people with doggos that my pup loves to play with :)
Attractive pub outside, beautiful location and views, food average.Worth visiting on a sunny day;we walked from Curbar edge and it's a good pit stop on a great walk.
Best Roast dinner I've had in a pub ever..just like home. Relaxed dog friendly perfect end to day after a lovely walk
Fab! Always good food and beer here and the views are spectacular. Plenty of parking. Management could think about growing some more bushes on the left side of the garden to block the road noise, that's the only improvement I can think of. The staff seem more friendly than last time I came which is
Went with my Son whilst out cycling. Lovely place
Fantastic staff, incredible food. Definitely coming here again. A welcoming dog friendly, relaxed place. Great view too.
One of the highlights in the peak district. If you want great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food you won't be disappointed at The Grouse. The pie is always amazing, a great boost after a day hiking or climbing. If you want something lighter, the brie wedges and fried squid are devine.
Lovely old pub set in a fantastic location in the heart of the Peak District . Food is excellent and a good selection of beers available.
Really great food as always. Nice relaxed atmosphere and a good choice of drinks. Perfect for after a walk, great for sitting out on a summer evening or next to the fire on a winter day. The specials board is always changing and definitely worth looking at. If you like your fish and chips then its t
Great food. Prices reasonable. Sometimes a bit of a wait. Don’t provide butter and some other standard condiments without asking.
After a 15km walk along the surrounding paths, we decided to eat something at the Grouse Inn before heading home. We ordered a large Cod and Chips, medium Steak and Ale pie, an Onion Rings and a Ice Cream Watsit. Everything was outstanding. Crunchy chips, tender fish, tender beef. Quality, presentat
Lovely food after our work walk. The pub is really lovely and had a round table to fit all 8 of us.
Always worth a trip out to The Grouse. (Our Nanan Ellie, bless her, loved it!) The road is closed but access can be gained from the Fox House / Owler Bar direction. Great pint of Banks's.
Great food! We’d been for a nice walk nearby and found The Grouse Inn and stopped for a meal. I had the Ploughman’s Lunch and my wife had the vegetarian Lasagne. These were both VERY nice. We followed it up with pudding, naturally! A nice place, good staff and great food.
Had originally planned to stop here half way around a walk but it hadn’t opened yet. Instead we drove to the pub after the rainy walk and had lovely hot meals, even the small portions were plenty! The pub allows dogs inside which was a nice relief although we were directed to the back room which wa
