We enjoyed a very tasty Sunday lunch. We both had prawn cocktail and then a small roast each. There was plenty to eat. The roast came with leeks, broccoli, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes and Yorkshires. We had one side of pigs in blanket extra. Our food was hot and tasty and the restaurant was clean and attractive. The staff were attentive. Thank you.
First time visitor to the White Lion. What a lovely place to spend time. Ate late afternoon on a weekday evening. Food was great. I'm no foodie so I'm not going to deconstruct the menu. Everyone at our table was more than satisfied and every plate was devoured. We'll be back soon. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Had the small portion fish chips and peas, was very nice :)
Visited again recently and loved the new menu. We can definitely recommend. Jo and Bexs where really welcoming and definitely a credit to the place. Given it was busy the service was great.

Popped in for dinner while in the area. The menu is simple and reasonably priced. Food was hit and miss. The fruity curry was homemade and inoffensive but served with frozen chips which let it down. the caesar salad was not authentic and wasn't even made with romaine lettuce but rather mixed greens which was a little odd.
It would be great to see some small improvements made which could make a big difference to the overall dining experience.
Great place! We attended the fun day with bouncy castles. Great way to bring in families and showcase what the pub has on offer. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. Keep going to make sure these great pubs stay open
A lovely dog friendly pub with a good selection of ales on tap. We had some food which was Great! The bar staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Will defiantly be going again.
We were visiting from the US and couldn't find any kitchens open locally on a Monday night. The White Lion beckoned, and we were so glad that it did! Fabulous food, drink, staff & atmosphere. Couldn't recommend more highly!
Great country pub. Food lovely;Cajun chicken burger and fish and chips. Menu has plenty of choice. Beer on cask was perfect and Staff were great and attentive. Been several times for Sunday lunch,which has never disappointed. Would highly recommend and will be back soon
Used to visit regular. Place took a downturn and we stayed away for around 18 months. Returned again last night and the change is amazing. Slight wait for food service but we were advised that on entry
Served quickly with drinks and shown to a table. Food arrived within 25 minutes. 4 different choices. All piping hot. Presented beautifully. Couldn’t fault it to be fair. Clean plates all round. Desserts were just as good and good size too
The 2 young ladies behind the bar worked tirelessly and always with a smile

Visited the White Lion last night with family, we had a brilliant evening! The food was delicious - would definitely recommend the fish & chips or scampi! The puddings were incredible! I had the warm waffle with honeycomb ice cream and my partner had the chocolate brownie - both were amazing! The restaurant itself is lovely, very spread apart from other tables and socially distanced. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back.
