Absolutely wonderful. This was our first meal at the Barley Mow and my family and I could not fault our meal or the service . There is plenty of parking and set in a very pretty rural setting. We booked a 6PM table and on arrival we were politely greeted and seated straight away. The waiting staff were polite and attentive creating a very nice non rushed atmosphere. Our food was very nice and one of the best meals we have had. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality food available. I can highly recommend the Barley Mow and will be returning on our next visit to Lincolnshire.

Lovely country pub feel, with a nice all round atmosphere. Staff could not be more attentive, they went out of their way to make the meal special. Food was cracking, we had three courses each and were very impressed. My only criticism was the sauce on the ribs, it was tomato based and a touch metallic tasting, despite this the ribs were soft and well cooked and the portion size was massive! We will definitely be visiting again 👍🏻

If you’re in the area this pub is definitely worth a visit! Staff are friendly and polite! Food was absolutely delicious and they are very clued up on allergens, before I had a chance to ask about the chips being gluten free I was told they don’t have a separate fryer, therefore they weren’t suitable for me, however they did cook my sautéed potatoes which were delicious, also because I couldn’t have the onion rings I was asked if I wanted peas instead. Great service and delicious food, if we’re ever back in the area we’ll definitely visit again.

We've missed out on having a Sunday lunch at this fantastic pub several times, as always busy, but on this visit we got lucky (We tend to make impromptu decisions when going for a meal, but I'd recommend booking in advance if traveling any distance). We decided to eat at one of the bar tables, rather than the main dining area, which is rather like a large conservatory. A bit cosy perhaps, but less busy, next to a window, and had a good warm atmosphere, Right from the beginning, service was excellent, with attentive, friendly and helpful staff taking our orders, and there for general chat. There were plenty of meat choices available for your roast, we both opted for the beef topside. Our food arrived within 10-15 minutes, which was perfect timing. The vegetable selections arrived separately in dishes, and like the main were equally well presented (see pictures). Everything was hot, and perfectly cooked, with proper roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding. The beef was a great choice, both tasty & tender, and the side vegetables, which included red onion were also very nice. I tend to eat with my eyes first, and this not only looked delicious, but tasted delicious too. Compared to some other pubs around in the area, it is slightly more expensive, but for food of this quality, it's well worth it, and clearly the reason it's always so busy. Since some of the others we've enjoyed around this area have now closed, we'll most definitely be returning here when we next get the opportunity. Fantastic food, warm & friendly atmosphere, perfect.

I enquired about a late booking and although fully booked, managed to squeeze us in. This is quite a gem in the area and we certainly weren't disappointed. We all loved the food, energy dish cooked just right and with the right level of service. Thank you so much! (I forgot to take pics before eating but have included the bones of the slow cooked belly pork which fell off the bone perfectly.)

We decided spare of the moment to go out for Sunday lunch because my mum had a Sunday off work, so we decided to make the most of it. My husband looked for places to go that we hadn't been before and saw the barley mow, so he booked a table and wow, it definitely was good. The minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome, the owner bought pork bits for us to nibble on while we had a drink. We all had a Sunday lunch, the meat just melted in your mouth and had so much flavour, the portions are a good size and everything was absolutely spelndid. We all had deserts and again they were amazing. The atmosphere was marvelous, clean and tidy. The owner and staff were friendly, warm, welcoming and attentive. My husband Billy and I travel all over the UK having adventures and weekends away and we use village pubs regular as they tend to be more homely with better quality beer and food, but no word of a lie we have to say that the barley mow is definitely the best pub we have visited. From the warmth of the owner and staff to the very delicious food. We will definitely be back .

This was our first visit as we're on holiday in the area. Everything about our visit was exceptional fr9m the greeting at the door to saying goodbye after a delicious meal. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The food was really good value for money, with fresh ingredients and plentiful portions. Do pay a visit if you can...you won't be disappointed!

Simply perfect . The Barley Mow calls itself a "Pub and Restaurant". It's a clever and quite distinction as well as indicator of what to expect. Service is great from the start. You're invited to have a drink in the pub side whilst looking at the menu. Then place your order whilst there and shortly after someone will hush you to your table, carrying your drinks on a tray. Just that is a sign you're in for a great experience. Despite their young ages, the waiting staff is professional, attentive and friendly, without being intrusive ; that's great skills - Kudos Ryan. Food is spot on. We could recognise some French technique working fresh, local ingredients to perfection. We had a great experience, left content and eager to come again, to taste the Sunday roast. Advice: book a table! They are busy and it took us a few tries before we finally made it.

First time there for dinner last night and wow what a fantastic place. We were greeted by such friendly staff, warm atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered far too much as we couldn't decide. Will be going back again. I have to say some of the best food I've had out in Lincolnshire and comparable with the quality of Jews House in Lincoln and Magpies in Horncastle.
